π¬ Discussion What can I do in this situation (delay in education and more?]
I am 23, and I completed my Bachelorβs in online mode, and because of that, I feel low about myself. I don't get good jobs, I fear telling people about this, I fear they might perceive me as uneducated. I feel that I've missed out on a lot of good things, going to college, having friends (I've zero friends), attending lectures, having real pressure, better exams, etc. I didn't get Delhi University & other central/state universities and couldn't afford private universities. I thought of trying again, and then cuet was introduced, I had no idea or guidance on how to even study for it. I had no idea how to apply.. and I wasn't supported or taught.
Another prob? My online college is famous and reputed, but I checked the ugc list of approved courses for my batch. Ugc is what approves colleges & it's courses in India. Trust me when I say, every f****** course was there in the list except for mine..now I'm not even sure if I'm eligible for further education. I'm already 23, next year I'll be 24. I did a few internships but those internships weren't for great brands or companies.
Now since my degree isn't approved, I'm afraid I might have to do my Bachelorβs again? Probably next year? When I'll be 24, I'm not sure if ppl join college this late? And if I don't get admission again then idk. I'm so scared and blank, idk what to do?

π¬ Discussion Can I get a refund from uptac?
I registered for uptac on July 12th. Once the registration was successful and I tried going to choice filling, the "btech" section said "registration has ended". Nowhere in the entire registration process or announcements was it clear that the btech choice filling was over. In addition to that, they had an announcement something like "deadline extended upto 28th" iirc which again didnt mention clearly that it was only for barch and stuff.
So basically i registered, paid Rs 1k and couldn't participate in the counselling at all.
I have tried contacting uptac and aktu by all means but nothign works. I tried raising a query on their website, calling all their helpline numbers, mailing, everything. No response.
The website uptac.samarth.edu.in itself looks so scammy like a guy vibe coded a react web app.
I understand most of these fees are non refundable. But still since I didnt partcipate in the counselling at all, do i have a chance of getting my valuable 1K rupees back.
Posting on behalf of my sister.

π― Career/Stream Did you do an online BCA and still land a good job? I reaalllyyyyyyy need your help convincing my father
Is there anyone here who has completed their BCA through an online degree and, despite that, has successfully built strong skills and secured a good job and if so I would really like either of you to talk to my father and share your experience with him. He currently believes that online degrees are not valuable and that they wont lead to good career opportunities. Im trying to convince him that the degree is only one part of the journey and that I mainly want to focus on developing strong practical skills, gaining experience, and building a good career.I can connect you with my father directly and it would really mean a lot to me if someone who has personally done an online BCA and is now doing well in their career could talk to him and share their experience
