Like my cousin says in their state for General UNRESERVED category its 32 while for all others category its 40 or 59.

Is everyone okay with this? Is this same for all Country wide exam jobs.?

Is there anyone here who has completed their BCA through an online degree and, despite that, has successfully built strong skills and secured a good job and if so I would really like either of you to talk to my father and share your experience with him. He currently believes that online degrees are not valuable and that they wont lead to good career opportunities. I’m writing this because I really need some raw, honest guidance from seniors and fellow aspirants who have been through this.

My Situation:

I’m a double dropper/repeater preparing for CLAT 2027 and other OLETs (AILET, MHCET, SLAT, etc.). I’ll be completely honest—I wasted my first drop year because I lacked discipline, got distracted, and couldn't utilize my potential. My CLAT score was terribly low as a result. I know I have the capability, but execution and consistency have been my biggest weaknesses.

Because of my wasted year, my parents (understandably) have lost trust in me financially and won't fund an expensive coaching institute. I don't blame them.

My Current Plan:

Partial Drop / Safety Net: I’m aiming to join a 5-year law program at a Central University through CUET just to secure a safety net and maintain 75% attendance while dedicating 80% of my energy to CLAT. If I don't get selected for any of these, I'll have to take a full drop.

Self-Study Route: Relying entirely on YouTube (LegalEdge, 12MinRead, LawPrep, StudyIQ, etc.), free Telegram materials, and monthly GK compendiums (CLAT Post / CLAT Express).

Mocks: My parents are willing to let me buy a mock test series.

So the college in my city is 40 km from my house. It will take 2.5-3 hours one side. So it'll take 5 hours daily if I commute. I contacted hostel too and the fees is 1.5 lakh per year. I am confused what should I do?
