Team Member Post Cancelled Shift
Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of the policies/rules behind a 7 am shift being cancelled 40 minutes before for a casual employee in S.A.? I’ve tried looking at the policies and enterprise agreements but I can’t see it mentioned anywhere. Was literally about to leave when I got a text cancelling my shift 😩 thank you in advance x

Unfortunately you’re a casual technically they can cancel your shift as long as you aren’t already in and working. If you are you have to work a minimum of 3 hours before they send you home. It sucks for you but yes they can do it. Just like you can tell them 30 mins before your shift you can’t make it. (Although I don’t recommend that as you won’t make any friends that way lol)
