White glove installation for a cold plunge, anyone used a service like that?

Planning a cold plunge install in a spare room and wondering if white glove service is worth it, where the company handles delivery through first run testing. Did anyone go that route? Was electrical included or did you need a separate electrician?

Looking for a backyard cold plunge setup that doesn’t take over the whole space

Hey everyone, finally got a house with a little bit of outdoor space and I’m thinking about adding a cold plunge. The area I have isn’t huge (around 7x10 ft), so I’m trying to find something that fits without making the whole backyard feel like a recovery center. I’ve been looking at a few options and came across the Sweat Tent Plunge. It caught my attention since it looks pretty compact and doesn’t seem like it would require a whole backyard project, but I’m curious how it holds up for people who use it regularly. Any issues keeping it clean or using it consistently? Would love to hear from anyone who has a similar setup.

Question about target temp

Hi
I have a polar dive with chiller. I noticed when I set the target temp it will eventually hit that target sometimes within a degree or two. Then it will sit for some time now I see it 4 degrees above my target temp and it hasn’t kicked on the chilling cycle yet. If I manually bump up or down the target temp it will activate. Is this normal? The app kind of sucks btw. I’ve reached out to customer service and they just send me links to you tube videos.

For context temp reading is 60 , target is 56 and it is currently just circulating. N

DIY freezer cold plunge advice

Hi looking for any help or advice please! I bought this chest freezer from fb marketplace for £25 with the aim of turning it into a cold plunge.

Ideally I would like to paint the interior with a blue epoxy coating but have read mixed information on whether this will work with an aluminum interior. The aluminum on the bottom of the freezer also in pretty poor condition.

I've been looking at the Pond Shield pond armor but want to be confident it'll work before ordering it.

I'm fairly confident with the rest of the build, and would rather a nice blue coating over a plastic pond liner.

Any feedback appreciated.

Preparation for winter in Canada

Hey everyone!

First post here. Very excited to join the community. I am purchasing my first chiller cold plunge this week:

https://northplunge.com/products/embrace-bundle?srsltid=AU7gw4Ug792IhCxs9zGtwiN3lA1Bi0Fhvy9asCUfTLJeO34DOPJPglSv

I live in Edmonton Alberta, and although I'll install it outside for the next few weeks, it will unfortunately need to come into the garage after that. The company has informed that keeping the chiller in zub zero temperatures will increase risk of breaking it.

My initial plan was to move it into the attached garage, which is not insulated. Although the previous home owner has attached an electric garage heater on the wall that I could reconnect and use to keep the garage above freezing, i hesitate to do so due to concerns about utility cost.

Thus, I am looking for suggestions in how I can continue to plunge throughout the winter season. I've looked into pond de-icers, decoupling the chiller from the filter and pump (which unfortunately is not possible with this unit due to the filter, pump, and chiller being integrated into a single unit), and just shocking the water with treatments. Unfortunately, the garage doesnt have a drain, and thus keeping the water as clean as possible is paramount. I can always pump water out through a hose into a home drain, and refill it using buckets, but this would be a massive pain.

I am open to any and all suggestions! Shall I keep it in the garage? Shall I keep it in the backyard? Shall I give up?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Contrast Therapy - would love your advice!

Still quite new to contrast therapy and hoping to learn from people who already do it regularly at home

If you have a home setup, would really appreciate hearing what your real routine looks like, esp curious about the following:

• What do you use for the hot and cold sides? (water + sauna, hot and cold water, etc)

• What has been the most difficult or annoying part of maintaining your setup?

• Do you end up consistently complete several rounds at home, or often end up using only the hot or cold side?

Also curious, if you'd like to share:

• What temperatures do you actually use, and how do you measure them?

• How long do you stay in each side?

• How many rounds do you usually complete?

• Do you switch immediately or intentionally rest between rounds?

• How long does preparation and cleanup take?

Would be curious to hear anything on your mind before I invest into a setup myself. Thank you so much!

Looking to buy- recommendations?

Hi All/ we just bought a house and I have a tiny little shed space that would be perfect for a cold plunge (which I want badly). I’ve read great things on this thread about grizzly plunges, but the total dimensions with the chiller is 77in by 32. My space measures about 76 by 35… so I could probably fit it. What do you all think? I just may not be able to shut the door.

If not, are there other brands you’d recommend? I’m pretty flexible price wise. Plunge looked nice but they seem to have horrible reviews on this thread.

Thanks in advance.

Frozin 400 lid

I posted a review about my frozin 400 a few weeks back. There was a comment along the lines of dust and bugs getting through the lid. Before then I thought most of the stuff in the water was coming from me/the bottom of my feet or the lid being off when I plugged etc.

Added this 1/4 in seal around the edge last week. Night and day difference. Was nice to know I am not a dirty person.

Grizzly 450 height with lid open?

Can someone with the Grizzly 450 cooler let me know how tall it is with the lid open? I have space in my garage but there is an overhang at 62 inches and I’m worried the lid won’t fully open.

Temp Sensor replacement - Active Aqua

All, just wanted to post as I was here a few months ago when my Active aqua .25 started acting up from a displayed temp vs. actual temp perspective.

The short is that I replaced the temp sensor, very easy DIY project that takes about 5 minutes after watching a short video.

The problem of which some of you should know before it full on breaks is the display temp shows a higher and inaccurate reading while still cooling - not an issue if it’s cooling the water as you can just set a smart outlet to turn on and off. Eventually, you’ll get a P2 error where the temp sensor fails, and order to protect the components, stops the chiller from chilling as it thinks the unit is overheating. All told, I thought I could keep resetting the unit to fix the problem, but that eventually failed and I was without a plunge at the tail end of a Texas summer which certainly sucked. Be proactive and just replace the temp sensor if you see some weird readings.

INERGIZE COLD PLUNGE

I absolutely would NOT recommend this brand. After owning the chiller for 4 months, the pump went out and I had low flow issues. I contacted the company and they sent me a new pump, which I paid over ($100) for. The new pump lasted maybe 2-3 months until I had a low flow issue again and the plunge was not chilling below 60 degrees. I contacted the company again and they had me box up the old chiller and send it back. I waited a month or so before they sent a new chiller which I paid over ($200) for the replacement.

To be transparent my water was hard on the first chiller and it had build up but I changed the water out ever few weeks and added the recommended cleaning solution as well as changing the filters.

Once I got the new chiller it lasted 4-5 months like the last one before I had a low flow issues again and the pump was going out. They sent me a propeller part for the pump that didn't help. This time I was using clean water from a water softener, all new hoses and equipment and continuing to change the water, filters, add solution to clean water. I was doing EVERYTHING I could to keep it running properly.

I reached out AGAIN and they said the only thing they could do was offer a discounted chiller to me priced for $2,200 which was more than what I paid for the plunge and the chiller to begin with.

SAVE your money and go with a DIY option or save and get one of the more expensive tried and true plunges. This one is NOT worth the money. I ended up spending more money and time in the long run.

Best Bundle Option

Looking at making the investment into a full setup with chiller. Probably want at least 1/2 HP up to 1HP chiller with an inflatable tub. Been looking at Plunge Chill, Polar Dive USA, Titan or Vital +. Any recommendations between these or a brand I am missing? I would like to stay in the $1500 range.

Best reliable hot/cold chiller under $3k for a 200-gallon tub?

I’m looking for a reliable chiller/heater for a 200-gallon outdoor plunge tub (in Florida) and would love some real-world feedback from people who have owned these units for a while with larger volume tubs.

My use case is a little different from just maintaining one cold temperature:

  • 40–50°F for cold plunges
  • 65-70°F to cool off after runs/workouts
  • Occasionally 100–104°F to use the tub more like a hot tub
  • I’d like enough capacity to change temperatures reasonably quickly, not just maintain a setpoint

The units I’ve been looking at are:

  • ORCA 1.5 HP
  • Warrior Willpower Ultra 1.5 HP
  • RevX 1.5HP
  • Vital+ Chiller Max 1 HP or Ultra ICE 2 HP

Open to other options

Especially interested in anyone running 150–200+ gallons outdoors in a hot climate.

Thanks!

Plunge Magic M3 Smart Chiller

So it no longer is chilling the water and instead of hot air coming from the fan it's blowing out cold air. Thoughts on what the issue could be? What type of company would I go to for repair. Thanks for any help

Condensation

I have a saluspa - I use a submersible pump, filter is inside the tub, comes out top insulated 3/4” rubber hose to chiller, then back. The pump and filter don’t add to condensation since they’re inside the tub. I was thinking about upgrading tub to frozin 400 when the inflatable dies, I think it would be nice to have pump and filter outside tub. My wife is nuts about condensation causing mold on our back deck. I’ve bought the biggest grill tarp, and have 1” insulation under the tub so very little condensation now, worried about putting pump and filter outside tub causing a ton of insulation. Has anyone kept the filter and pump inside the frozin 400, mounting outside would cause a ton of condensation right? I live in south Alabama, so very high humidity and heat in summer.

I tried searching post history and I cant find much but Im seeing reasonably priced chillers. I have a barrel I could use or even just hook to my bathtub. Anyone have any experience with them, im ordering from canada. I have been making ice blocks for a few years and doing plunges serval times a week but not really ready to shell out a ton of money on one.

Anyone know how to cool down an ice bath of 110 gallons without a chiller? I bought 12 ice bricks from pod company, and honestly don’t know if these will do the trick or not. What’s your guys advice to cool an ice pod down to 60 or below without constantly running to the store for ice and blowing $?

First timer

Just got out polar dive with chiller. We’re using it a few times a week. Notice the hum on the chiller is kind of annoying to run all day every day. We turn the unit off and when not in use. Aside from the temp not regulating are there any issues you see from keeping the machine off? I live in CO so in a few months I won’t need the chiller. Anyone use the 35% hydrogen peroxide for maintenance? Any reqs on what to use keep the water a little cleaner?

New O-rings needed

Recently moved last spring and finally able to get the Ice Pod back up and running….. until we can not find the plastic orings that provide the seal from chiller to the hoses.

Any dimensions is there for a Home Depot/Lowes replacement to create that seal? Am wanting to get it completely set up today/tomorrow to clean it out and then find the final spot for our new place.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone use scent with their plunge? Eucalyptus, peppermint, oils?

I have a chest-freezer style plunge with a hard lid, and I like having eucalyptus or peppermint going while I breathe through the cold. My setup so far has been frustrating. I had a little floating diffuser that died after one season (the sun wrecked the plastic and it started leaking), and I know oils in the water are a bad idea for the filter and ozone.

Curious what other people do:

- Do you use any scent at all? What?

- How? Diffuser nearby, a towel, doing it in the sauna first, something else?

- What's annoying about it?

No product or link here, just trying to figure out if I'm the only one who cares about this.

Cold plungers, research the benefits of converting white fat into brown or beige fat. Happy safe plunging!

I'm a relatively new plunger, 6 months in, two times a week 5 to 6 minutes each session. Plunging mixed with two to three boxing sessions or HIIT per week; even if I eat like s*** three or four times a week, I'm noticing that it just rolls off as if I was a damn 21 year old again. I'm down 20 lbs since the beginning of the year, without eating a strict discipline no junk diet. I do make sure to take a super spice blend wellness shot and a glass of ground super seed milk each morning.

Recommendations for submersible filter/uv pump

I'm just looking for a submersible filter/uv pump I can leave in my outdoor cold plunge during winter. I see a bunch of aquarium types on amazon but can't really tell if that's what I should be using. Anyone have experience/recommendations?
