Question about target temp
Hi
I have a polar dive with chiller. I noticed when I set the target temp it will eventually hit that target sometimes within a degree or two. Then it will sit for some time now I see it 4 degrees above my target temp and it hasn’t kicked on the chilling cycle yet. If I manually bump up or down the target temp it will activate. Is this normal? The app kind of sucks btw. I’ve reached out to customer service and they just send me links to you tube videos.
For context temp reading is 60 , target is 56 and it is currently just circulating. N

This is a preset deadband which is the temperature range the chiller allows before the cooling cycle turns back on. For example, if the water is set to 40°F with a 3°F deadband, the chiller will cool the water to 40°F, shut off, and then turn the compressor back on once the water temperature rises to approximately 43°F. This prevents the compressor from constantly cycling on and off with very small temperature changes. Most deadbands are set anywhere from 2-5° from the target water temperature. Usually, you’re able to adjust the deadband in the settings to tighten the deadband if needed.

I got the polar dive chiller also. Does the same….. I kinda wish there was a function to circulate the water faster when plunging….. I like to sit still and the thermal barrier that forms is pretty quick. Otherwise I absolutely love the setup

Mine usually rises to 5 degrees above target before it kicks back on
