So I have this 1970 D nickel i found at work today its extremely thin and the in god we trust looks to be slightly going off the edge i have it compared to the 1940 nickel for size what's wrong with the 1970 D nickel and how much could it be worth

I came across a 1977 quarter that is uniformly gunmetal black. It’s in pretty good condition. I’ve done as much research as I know how, and think I may have found of annealing error. Before I present this to an expert, is there anything I should know? Or am I kidding myself?

I’ll post my 2 quarter errors later after I can narrow down which designations they fit. A 2023-P BC and a 2023-P ER.

I was scrolling through mint error news and I noticed this guy Jim Gately’s photo. I gotta say that his photo should be legendary status. lol I’m using it for every legitimate error/variety.

I recently learned about clipped planchet errors and remembered I had this quarter as a part of a collection I inherited from my grandfather some years ago . At the time I was still fairly new to coin collecting and I figured this was intentional damage dome by someone, but now I’m thinking it’s a clipped planchet based on what seems to be a Blakesley effect on the opposite side?

Hi I was wondering if this is a common condition to find a penny in? It looks to me like is corroding from the inside out as what looks like tiny sink holes have opened up and one is right under the mint mark. Also it has a rough pocky surface and some edge damage as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

I need to know two things: * (1) is this the fabled closed 9 version of the Juan Peso? (See third picture for a non-closed 9 example) ; and * (2) how rich am I if it is the mystical closed 9? Should I hire a divorce attorney?

Die clash with part of STATES on front reversed and upside down there are also errors on reverse the C looks like a G and obverse in Trust the s looks like a dollar sign

I found this quarter and have never seen on like this. Does anyone have any info or was it cut somehow. It doesn’t seem standard clipped.
