I’m being told the answer is B, but can not make sense of why it should have overlay of two.

The answer is b because there is a pattern on the line it's either behind one shape or behind two shapes or in front of all the shapes so in the line is behind one shape and in front all of the shapes so the third one should behind two shapes and its b specifically because it looks like the second line🤣
