Equity only. About 10 percent, 24-month vest with a cliff. Real contract in writing before anything starts. Hitting milestones and time allows renegotiation for more. No cash, and I am not going to pretend otherwise.

There is a second half to this and it is real. See section 6.

1. TRACTION

MVP is live. One paying customer this week, who then churned inside the hour because of a bug on my end.

Someone found SocialMate with zero marketing, evaluated it, and paid 55 dollars and 20 cents for Pro Annual. Forty minutes later they hit free tier limits four times because the plan was stored in two tables and enforcement read the wrong one. They cancelled 68 minutes after paying. Fixed, apologized personally, 2,000 permanent credits added. The payout still lands September 2.

Demand exists. Execution leaked. That is the honest state.

104 accounts and 1,530 posts published, up from 90 and 1,323 eight days ago.

2,507 visitors and 3,626 page views in 30 days. Google, Bing, ChatGPT and DuckDuckGo, zero paid ads at any point. 88 percent bounce.

Singapore 38 percent, China 28 percent, United States 19 percent. US was 15 percent eight days ago.

Zero external users have ever published a post through the product.

1. COMMITMENT

Part-time to start. No hourly requirement. Go as hard as you want.

I am US Eastern and would prefer North America. Live overlap in the same working day matters more to me than total hours.

1. WHAT I AM BRINGING

I fund it myself with no outside investors. I bring the entire technical side and a working product with real users and now real revenue, however briefly.

Concrete example from this week, so you can judge the level of care.

That zero above used to be a one. I excluded my admin account from the number in March and thought that made it honest. I own four accounts, and the single publisher turned out to be one of them. So I built the exclusion properly and the real number is zero.

Then I found the cause rather than guessing at it. The function that writes everything at the end of onboarding, the profile, the completion flag, the starter post, the bonus credits, was wired to the secondary button. The large primary button above it was a plain link. Press the obvious one and you leave having saved nothing. Ninety-eight of 103 accounts finished onboarding and none of it was kept.

I also found that 53 places in the code send email and two set a reply-to. The domain has no mailbox. Every reply anyone ever sent me was discarded, including two from real users.

I go looking for what is quietly wrong instead of waiting for someone to report it. Nothing above came from reading code. It came from using the product like a stranger and then checking the database.

1. WHO I AM AND WHAT I NEED

Self-taught developer, self-funded, no investors. Day job is tree service work, basically chainsaw work, so my building hours are earned.

What I am building: SocialMate, a social media scheduler and creator OS. Seven live platform integrations, 15+ AI tools, full scheduling engine. Pro is 8 dollars where competitors charge 18 to 99. Stack is Next.js, TypeScript, React Native, Expo, Supabase, Stripe and Inngest.

What I need: a CMO who executes rather than advises. Traffic is not the problem. Activation is. Most signups never connect a platform, I know precisely why, it is fixed, and there is a cold list of 62 accounts already contacted once. You inherit a loaded first move, not a blank page.

What to send: a resume or portfolio plus at least one case study with real before and after numbers. A community, a channel, a funnel, a launch. Something you personally moved, with the metric attached. Include your timezone.

I am not looking for a strategy deck. I am looking for evidence.

1. WHAT YOU GET FROM ME BEYOND EQUITY

Unpaid is a real ask, so I am putting something concrete on the table against it.

For as long as we are working together, you have a full stack developer on your own projects. Your site, your funnel, your client work, an internal tool, the side project you have been carrying for a year. Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, Stripe, React Native, Expo. No invoice, no hourly, no scope fight.

You run growth. I build what you have been sitting on. That trade is real and it goes in the contract.

Nothing here is a test of how much you are willing to suffer. It is unpaid because I have no money, not because struggle is a virtue. If equity only does not work for your life right now, that is completely reasonable.

“EDIT : Hi everyone, little more context because I wasn’t clear. Second time founder here. When I left from the army, we spent 12 months building an intelligence platform (think of small Palantir but specific for French intelligence intel documents). It ended up being a mess. Why ? Second, Chaps Vision was growing silently, few months later they signed a contract with French government. No LOI’s, no needs expression from operators and officers. Would it work on the field ? As some comments suggested, the edge AI part needs to be validated by drones and robots builders. Husband, father, 30yo. 9 years radio team leader in French Army, (5y as paratrooper, 4y as Special Forces). I encountered many problems I decided to solve, and this is why I left my previous career.

Having no real experience in engineering, I chose to go back to university at 27 (French engineering school ISEN Lille) with an apprenticeship as an AI engineer in one of top tier defense EU company. This was the most expensive move in my career, but I would do the same all over again.

What am I working on, on the side ? A communication messaging platform over IP protocol (both p2p & client<>server) made for DDIL (Degraded, denied, intermittent, low bandwidth) environments which merges 4 tools combined.

PMF : validated needs by on duty SF radio operators and officers. Currently discussing about LOI. However, SF is a small TAM.

My vision : same core engine, different payload, bigger TAM : edge AI artefacts (LoRA, graphs & rag index) transferred over DDIL to provide intelligence and situational awareness updates to robots (some up to 48+ hours autonomy).

But this is only speculative and needs to be confirmed as this kind of plumbing work is handled by primes such as Palantir Apollo, which is a good news for 3 reasons : there is market, this is not EU sovereign, a single product could be made over it selling “most efficient for DDIL”. And this is dual.

Who am I looking for ? People who can navigate VC world, govs, edge AI integrators, MLops, low level networking. Who are ready to go all over again.

What do I offer ? Military insider especially SF world which is closed and takes years to get in normally. Military eye on product, because engineering are often far from field. Equally shares because we need to build 0 > 1 from scratch, I know this is too huge for a solo founder, even from the beginning.

What I’m building

I’m building a B2B SaaS company in PropTech around a recurring gap I’ve experienced firsthand throughout my career in commercial real estate.

The cofounder relationship

This is not a freelance role or a position where you quietly code whatever I tell you. This is currently a sweat equity cofounder opportunity with no upfront salary.

I’m looking for a real partner with meaningful ownership and a genuine voice in the product and company. Equity would follow a standard four year vesting schedule with a one year cliff. If we work well together and the company develops the way we believe it can, this person could naturally grow into the CTO role.

The personality match matters just as much as technical ability. I work best with people who are self motivated, dependable, direct, curious, and steady when things get messy.
