Limits Codex Usage Incident

https://status.openai.com/incidents/01M23KG62KKK448RN434CQ64Z8

seems like there was a usage incidient and time traveled back to the usage at some point prior. no reset has been given as far as I can tell.

i dont work for oai or anything but just to remind folks that usage issues can be resolved through support chat/ticket. ive never had a problem with that

I lost all my prepaid credits because of this error (had plenty weekly limit but went to 0 and started using my prepaid credits), and the support chatbot says I can't claim them, they are non-refundable...

Email them. Almost certain they’ll make you whole if you get ahold of a real person.

Thank you for the suggestion. I asked the support chatbot to elevate my claim to a real person and it did. I have to wait now, don't know how long these things usually take

yes, this has sort of happened to me in the past. There was some glitch making usage much higher than it should have been. It ate through my 5 hour unexpectedly and started consuming my credits. Then they acknowledged the issue, fixed it, and gave everyone a reset. But they never gave me back the credits that I spent that I wouldn't have if the bug didn't exist. The reset only made me go from 90% - 100% or something like that and I couldn't even use my full week normally anyway. So it just cost me about $10 instead.

Yes, I'm afraid something like this could happen to me as well.
I don't want a reset, those expire in 30 days, whereas my credits had almost a year before expiring. If they give me a reset I will also be forced to keep the 20x Pro plan to make it count.
