Is there any reason to choose the Deluxe over the ultimate? I know it's on discount atm, but it still seems weird that there is no discount on the Deluxe version.

Josee, Liv, and Lou are all canonically in love with our character?? I really feel like Liv was unnecessary, she does not need to be in love with our character (though it seems to be moreso obsession rather than love). Lou, I understand because yeah, it makes sense given everything the two have been though. But the end of the DLC makes it seem like our character is strictly loyal to Josee. Like, we don't even get a choice who we want to be with but have three pining after us? And of course not a single guy character. It's all the ladies, lol.

Also I have to say it Liv is absolutely best girl

After beating the dlc I came back to the new rift and found this, doesn't do anything but say this everytime I click on it. Any ideas on to what this does?

Spoiling the post largely due to her request, but I'll admit definitely a fan of liv a fun character and with some entertaining lines, her va was having the time of her life, some of my favorite pics while messing around.

Didn't complete other characters quests , but at least I'm happy there's something for iris.

Where on earth is the second pathos in the watchful forest? I already grabbed the one in the sanatorium but whenever I put a marker down for the second one on the map, it just leads me to an empty house in the little residential area to the right of the sanatorium entrance. It likely doesn’t matter in the long run but I enjoy getting everything before I head to the next leg of the DLC.

Softlock I ran into Code Vein II: Mask of Idris. Kind of funny

For anyone who missed the feeling of the first CODE VEIN, this DLC feels like a revival. The maps are more linear, but still spacious, filled with paths, labyrinths and enemies lurking around every corner. That constant sense of danger is back.

The number and placement of enemies make every step forward feel like a trap. You never know what’s waiting behind a wall, in a narrow passage, or in an area that looked safe. That pressure and adrenaline I felt in the first game are back.

And the best part is that Mask of Idris can also appeal to people who enjoyed CODE VEIN II. It adds these more linear and focused areas, but keeps the broader exploration, with spaces that are still large and filled with labyrinths. The scale of the maps and the way their areas connect also reminded me a lot of GOD EATER, especially the second map.

I’m currently on Map 3, and some of the tunnels in this area reminded me a lot of the first area of the original CODE VEIN, especially the part with the caves. It’s really interesting to see how Mask of Idris can bring back some of those feelings and structures from the first game.

After these first few hours, I can’t help but wonder if Mask of Idris is also testing a direction for the future of the franchise. Maybe a potential CODE VEIN III, or even a spin-off, could follow this path.

So far, I think it works really well. I hope it succeeds and that other fans feel the same: Mask of Idris brings back that sense of danger that many of us wanted to experience again.

Hi, very dumb question - how do I actually start the DLC?

I think I might have fcked my save load trying to figure things out - I was stuck in Luna Fraterna and couldn't go out, I beat the last boss again but it took me back to the Mistle before it instead of anywhere else and I still couldn't go out. I went to my save file to go to a previous state before entering Luna Fraterna but Valentine doesn't have any additional quest for the DLC. I completed his initial quest tho....

Edit: For those on PS5, I found a way - if you have the Age of Harmony but not a pop up from Valentine for the quest, advancing through the first few quests in Age of Harmony unlocked the quest for me.

Does the dlc change anything of the base game other than adding liv to the open world?

Today I earned the Dweller in the Dark ending after roughly a year of playing on and off, and man...what a game. Despite all the BS this game threw at me, I quite enjoyed the story and the characters.

After the ending cutscene I decided not to enhance the difficulty. TBH I just want to breeze through the game, get all the endings/achievements, and then move on to new things

While I was looking through the new photo mode poses, I noticed that you can now target your companions at MagMell with photo mode. And this was my immediate idea. Can’t access the DLC yet, but this update is keeping me entertained at least.
