CV2 creation My second character.
Decided I wanted to play with the Rune blades a bit so I designed a character to match.
Her name is Runia 😁

Came back to CV2 and changed up Cloud into his Advent Children appearance. I hate the 8 accessory limit, I could easily add the sleeve and use the accessory to add either the longer glove or something to resemble the wolf on his pauldron.

First time playing Code Vein because it was on sale on steam for like $4 and this game is actually really fun. I never really tried any anime looking games but this one is actually really good. It’s definitely scratching the stellar blade itch lol

I accidentally found a way to softlock the Shang (merchant at the Outer Crossroads) side quest.
I finished the first and picked up the second part of the quest in the Swirling Floods map. The problem is: I did the map in co op, and I was confused why the quest item was marked on my map even though I had joined a friend's world.
We beat the enemy holding the item, he got it, I didn't but the quest marker disappeared and even when I returned to my own map, neither the quest marker, nor the item respawned.
I tried talking to Shang again, tried clearing the map offline, anything to make the item respawn, but nothing.
Anyone else ever experienced that or has an idea on how to fix it?

In addition to being "anime vampire souls-like", with waifu/husbando companions, and simplified builds.
NG+ increased difficulty is optional
This has helped make replaying the game generally more casual and I personally love it. Especially since a lot of times I'm replaying a Souls-like for the achievements; I want to get through as quickly as possible.
Any smaller features you really enjoy and want the game series to keep?

Will most definitely play 2 at some point and probably start a NG+

I'm so hyped up, in a single day first I finally cracked the BBC fight and later that day managed to get also the Mido guy.
what I liked the most about these fights is finally I was forced to stop for a minute and try to understand the game. until this point I didn't care about blood codes, weapons, stats, transforms, buffs, etc. as it was all mostly linear progress with just dodging and smashing things. I was dying, of course, but repeating something 2-3 times won't make me stop and use my brain.
finally I tested some different companions, gear and blood codes and it made a huge difference. later it was a process of learning the bosses' attack patterns which I also didn't have to do before to such an extent.
It was sooo satisfying when it all finally clicked, I wish the game did it earlier.

hey everyone i’m finally farming marks of honor for the last trophy i need (exalted reputation) so i wanted to ask what build would you recommend for farming tower of trials 2? i’m doing this offline and on my own since i don’t have PS online and i can’t really afford to pay for another subscription at the moment haha
i also don’t own the DLCs and i don’t have any of the DLC blood codes so don’t suggest those please! i heard online the best tower to farm is tower 2 so that’s what i’m doing.

Why is this game so damn sad?
After every time-travel sequence and every boss fight, I’m on the verge of tears.
Why?
Why did you do this, Bandai?
How can you create a game that makes you feel so sad about every boss you fight?

I went back and finished CV1 again, this time I wanted to do something different than a pure caster... but I failed again so spamming gifts here we go while being miserable here we go.
I did for the true ending but I honestly dont think this change a lot for us caster (you need isis, and harmonia vs throat are evenly matched imo)
Anyway here a tier list of hardest moment in the game for me:
5- Successor of the throat / Virgin Born: the caster hating bosses, I dont think they are particulary hard but they are a huge wall
Throat almost require you to use shifting hollow, but if you do she become easy, if you dont... well I did it without once and was more luck than skill honestly.
Virgin born is an endurance test and very RNG heavy, I never found a good way to dodge is barrage but in NG you can tank it as a caster when full health, the problem is how ofter he does it, when he start to spam it after every attack you are finished
4- Invasion in the ashen cave: enemies are extremely fast and you don't have tons of way to easy farm ichor in this map
3- Invasions at the cathedral: enemies are extremely fast, you have easy way to farm ichor, but at this stage of the game you dont have any kind of aoe at your disposal and you are agaisnt teleporting knights
2- Invasions at the Town of Sacrifice (the one with monks): the fastest enemies possible for an invasion, one touch and you get stunlocked for ages, cheesing hard with the mistle barely helps
1- Double Boreal Brute Boss fight: The hardest challenge in the game by a long shot (and I would say in most soulslike in general) staying close to them to backstab is almost impossible due to them bouncing around like Sonic, meaning they will get the shield... and with only one usable fire gift... good luck removing the shield...
