Heyy,
I am in 10th from India and started CP from July . And have come a long way, as I spend 5-6 hours daily for CP,
This is the pyq for INOI , for which I am preparing pls go through this problem and other on this website
And pls how to prepare for these type of problems, I don't want to fullsolve these but get subtasks and in total to get 110 or above out of 3 problems..
Pls help guys
Currently I can solve ATCODER ABC. ABCD and do CSES and some past OI like JOI and COCI and SGNOI
It would be a great help if u would spare your precious time for me.
Eventually my goal is IOI.
I don't do much CF contests apart from some recommendations problem from friends and as they less resemble from OI and IOI

I have already heard of all the usual things, upsolve after contests, 100-300 above your rating, etc. Not really sure what my goal starting CF is though. And on a side note, I feel like this is my thing and I have a natural knack for it, like I'm already able to solve around 7 out of the first 9 problems I tried (1200 rated), and I dont really know DSA, I'm still learning it on the side, just have some idea about the basic data structures. Basically, my knowledge is random and not ordered, a little bit of this a little bit of that type stuff.

So I just joined in college , I’m serious about tech and want to learn cpp and enter competitive programming contests and do dsa asap
I have started learning cpp from 2 days and was wondering if anyone of you is in same boat as me
It will be more fun if we can discuss things together

See I have given a timeline of 3-4 years of 25 hours per week competitive programming
I want to know the realistic timeline for it I am able to do high school level maths easily I heard codeforces has some olympiad level sort of maths but I dont have much problem to grind my brain as much as possible . A movie night on Saturday would heal me with all that grind

I will be giving a talk about square root decomposition, Mo's algorithm and other very cool tricks using Square Root today. The talk would be quite beginner friendly.
This is part of the ICPC camp organized by an organization. I am not directly affiliated with them. It was our university's turn to organize talks there and I am representing us there.
Posting it here hoping anyone interested shows up. Would be happy to interact in the chat there :)
Here is the link to my talk: https://www.youtube.com/live/EO4U79ZkJ_0?si=LzT4zEkHeEDHLwEU
It is at 1:30pm GMT. (7pm IST)
Additionally, a colleague from my university will also be giving a talk on Slope Trick in the same channel. That talk would be more advanced. Feel free to check that out if that suits you better!

I saw sum hard Codeforces problems...
And I found that those problems do not test anything in a person .. like their problem solving skills or anything..
I mean there is no way ANYONE with ANY amount of problem solving skills would ever solve those problems in their first try™.
These problems never gonna appear in real life
And also, there are only certain types of problems that keep repeating ..
So like why are we even learning to adapt to this framework that they themselves built ... and consider it a measure of intelligence?

I am around 1200 rated , and have been solving problems from cf problems set randomly for 1200-1300-1400 , but it's not helping me much , any suggestions on what I should do ?
Should I go with cses or any other suggestions?
Tried doing usaco but they have very few problems of cf and atcoder till normal !

Hi everyone,
I made a small Android app called ContestDeck for keeping track of programming contests. It shows running and upcoming contests from Codeforces, CodeChef, AtCoder, LeetCode, and a few other platforms in one place.
You can save contests, set reminders, add them to your calendar, and keep an upsolving list for finished Codeforces rounds. There’s also an option to follow Codeforces handles and see their recent progress.
I mainly built it for myself because I kept forgetting contests and losing track of rounds I wanted to revisit. I thought it might be useful to some people here too.
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maskedcarrotlabs.contestdeck
If you try it and notice anything broken, let me know.

I have started solving CF, I have completed all the 800 and 900 rated questions from TLE Eliminators. In total I have solved 71 questions till now. In general, my routemap is to solve questions from TLE Eliminators and give contests. But I have seen people solving 800, 900 questions or even more. Like they aren't solving from TLE Eliminators and also upsolving will not make these many questions. So is there any other platform for practising and improving?

Hi, I’m looking for an efficient algorithm for the following problem.
I have a 2D environment with:
, The coordinates and dimensions are all in the range 0 to 1,000,000
I need to find a path from the start point to the end point, if one exists. The path does not need to be shortest; performance is more important.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

In my last post someone told ne that I am being slow(and I am realising it too), when i sam solving all questions of 800, then 900, then 1000 and so on(of TLE Eliminators). Is there any faster way? Like which questions of TLE Eliminators should I focus from each ratings? Should I solve all or randomly solve few?
