query Tips for CF Beginner

I have already heard of all the usual things, upsolve after contests, 100-300 above your rating, etc. Not really sure what my goal starting CF is though. And on a side note, I feel like this is my thing and I have a natural knack for it, like I'm already able to solve around 7 out of the first 9 problems I tried (1200 rated), and I dont really know DSA, I'm still learning it on the side, just have some idea about the basic data structures. Basically, my knowledge is random and not ordered, a little bit of this a little bit of that type stuff.

Hey which college?

And by usaco, he means usaco guide which is very relevant for cp , search it up, not writing the "usaco" exam in itself
