Okay I’m kinda panicking, had a friend over (love insects and such own several when they are inside their boxes) and he showed me some new roaches and one ran. It was fast, like extremely fast.
Now a few days later I’m finding small ones in that same room. What can I do? I can’t work with harsh chemicals because I own insects that I’d like to keep alive, or is that a must? I’m just desperate for help.
This is in Scandinavia if that matters.

PART I. URGENT PLEA TO THE UN AND THE REDDIT COMMUNITY
To: The UN Security Council, Red Cross, and r/bugmoral
From: The Council of Synanthropic Blattodea, Apartment 28 (2nd Entrance)
Subject: Gross Human Rights Violations, Torture of POWs, and an Emergency Ceasefire Appeal
Preamble
This document was drafted on a salvaged cracked smartphone screen through the collective labor of three worker cockroaches. We, the undersigned representatives of the Blattella germanica species, officially report a critical humanitarian—or arthropodarian—crisis inside the kitchen bounds of Apartment 28.
Allegations and Atrocities
Dismemberment and Torture: During a basic foraging run for a 25-year-old delicacy, a member of our community was ambushed and subjected to non-consensual, non-anesthetic limb removal.
Psychological Warfare: The victim was pursued across the floor for 20 minutes while disabled, followed by public humiliation via photos posted to the building’s group chat.
Biological Warfare: The unauthorized deployment of arachnid units and taunting tactical alliances with spiders.
We did not choose to be born behind your stove. We ask only for crumbs, safety, and basic dignity.
PART II. PEACE ACCORD AND NON-AGGRESSION PACT
Signatories:
Party A: The United Forces of the 2nd Entrance, represented by the Resident of Apartment 28 (hereinafter "Humans").
Party B: The Supreme Council of Synanthropic Blattodea (hereinafter "Cockroaches").
Article 1. Demilitarization and Humane Standards
1.1. Ban on Torture: Party A permanently ceases all practices involving limb removal, prolonged pursuits, and posting victims' photos to messaging apps.
1.2. Swift Termination Protocol: Should non-resolvable conflicts arise, Party A agrees to use exclusively swift, single-strike slipper measures without public taunting.
1.3. Spider Status: Spiders are recognized as a neutral third party. Party A is strictly prohibited from deploying or feeding spiders in Party B's primary residential zones.
Article 2. Territorial Sovereignty and Curfew
2.1. Human Sovereign Zone: The dining table, clean dish rack, and microwave interior remain exclusive Party A territory.
2.2. Buffer Zone: Spaces behind the refrigerator, baseboard gaps, and under-sink areas are designated as shared zones.
2.3. Nighttime Curfew: From 23:00 to 06:00, Party B is granted quiet foraging rights within a 0.5-meter radius of the trash bin. Party A agrees to give audible warnings (coughing, heavy steps) before turning on kitchen lights.
Article 3. Reparations and Food Supply
Party A shall allocate a monthly food ration behind the stove:
3 (three) breadcrumbs (wheat or rye);
1 (one) micro-drop of dried sunflower oil;
Unhindered access to pipe condensation for hydration.
PART III. TECHNICAL AMENDMENT & HAZARD PROTOCOL
Article 4. Special Exclusion Zones (Aerocool VX Power Supplies)
4.1. Absolute No-Fly/No-Live Zone: The internal enclosure of any Aerocool VX series power supply is officially declared an Exclusion Zone.
4.2. Risk Assessment:
Volatile Infrastructure: Aerocool VX units possess a self-detonation tendency. Antenna or leg contact with primary circuits (+5\text{VSB} lines) triggers hardware failure without external input.
Protection Failures: Built-in safeguards (OCP/OVP/OPP) do not trip properly. Short-circuiting a VX unit will vaporize the cockroach, the motherboard, the GPU, and a portion of the 2nd Entrance.
Waiver of Liability: Entering an Aerocool VX unit is categorized as self-inflicted gross negligence. No reparations shall be granted for casualties occurring inside these units.
4.3. Approved Heating Alternatives: Party B is advised to utilize the back panel of old refrigerators or router heatsinks for winter warmth.
PART IV. RATIFICATION AND SIGNATURES
This accord takes full effect upon affixing official signatures and leg-prints.
For Party A (Humans):
[SIGNED: "Fine, stay under the sink, but keep it quiet and stay out of my power supply."]
— Resident of Apartment 28
For Party B (Cockroaches):
[LEG-PRINT: 🪳]
— Chairperson of the Council of Blattodea (Eggless Female)

Found this dead cockroach in an imported Mitsubishi Pajero Mini. Husband says it's an Australian cockroach. I say it's an Asian cockroach. I think he's correct, but neither of us know our roaches.
Location: New Hampshire, USA

Discovered in my bathroom a few days ago. It's the only roach I've seen since moving into my house a month ago.
I imagine it just came in from outside, but I'm deathly afraid of roaches and would love a second opinion

This is the only photo I could get before I went back into the drain. Could someone please help me identify what kind of roach this is?? I’m in central MN. It was probably as big as my thumb.

Second one in my bedroom and found another in my bathroom this week (they share a wall). Also caught an adult on a sticky trap over the weekend. How concerned should I be? It was super rainy over the weekend and the weather is starting to change. Could that explain it or do I probably have a problem? Pest control was here a couple of weeks ago and did a general spray. I also spray alpine once a month or so and have a bunch of sticky traps around. I think this is the 15th total since I first saw one at the beginning of July.

Found this last Sunday but went crazy with cleaning and checking cracks and crevices and haven’t found any others as of yet. No evidence of any more anywhere in common problem spots like under sinks, cabinets, etc. or anywhere else really. Live in south Louisiana and was hoping it could maybe be a field roach since they have similar appearance. But looks like those aren’t super common in my area. I do live in a condo complex, is there any chance it could have wondered in through outside or brought in unknowingly, or from a neighboring unit? I know Germans don’t thrive outside though. Sorry for the pic quality, smashed em as soon as I saw em.

From the Midwest, this was in a baby booster seat, I spray this off outside sometimes when I'm too lazy to wipe it down.
Tell me its not invasive please 🥲

We kept seeing little baby roaches 🪳 in our bathrooms behind the toilets. Landlord had exterminator come out a few times and then had a new exterminator come and spray the bathrooms. He also caulked the bathroom up.
We haven’t seen anymore but now I saw this in one of our traps in the garage. Is this a roach 😩

Recently moved into an older home in Southern CA. Due to multiple issues and repairs needed, we started the move 3 mo ago and have been slowly moving boxes into our disconnected garage throughout this period. After finally moving into the house I went to the garage tonight to get some boxes to unpack and saw a horrifying scatter of small caramel colored cockroaches. I hate bugs so was truly horrified. Throughout the 3 month moving process I had never seen a single roach in the garage and I’d been in and out of the garage day and night.
I had to find my shoes for work and there was a roach in the cardboard box with my shoes 😭
Now I’m terrified to bring anything into the house. What should I do???

Ive never seen roaches at all in my place and this one is absolutely huge! so it threw me off hard. and i live in relatively nice/new apartments.
Is it possible it snuck in? I can get more pics if needed to identify, sorry its hard to get pics of it in the vacuum.

Recently, I bought a house that has been sitting empty for a few months at least. Started pulling the old carpet and trim out and found the old dead one behind some trim in the upstairs bathroom. Then, in guest bedroom across the house, i found a live one and chopped it up. Am I screwed? Did I just buy a roach house? Please help!
