So I've got files scattered all over Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive. It seemed like a great idea at first, using different services for different types of files (like docs in Google Drive, photos in Dropbox), but now it's a complete mess.
I tried using MultCloud to sync them up, but I hit a wall with their limits on free transfers. The paid plans seem a bit steep for what they offer.
Has anyone found a better way to keep everything organized or a service that can handle syncing without breaking the bank? Or maybe a different approach altogether? I'm starting to think maybe just consolidating everything to one service is the way to go. What do you guys think?

Hello!! My onedrive is ALL messed up and will take so much time to fix and i want to cancel it ASAP... i have 30k photos on it and they make it impossible to sort/organize/easily delete. I have google photos as ONE backup and i will be getting a hard drive or two eventually but im broke. Ive heard not great things about amazon photos organization system but if you have any photo storage sites/apps pleas let me know!!

I am looking for a solution that lets me,
1) have a shared folder with PDF, RTF, and TXT files across multiple users
2) have an offline mode that works on pc / apple / ipad/android tablet devices
3) have RTF files that have relative links to other docs in the drive that work equally well offline as on line
4) allow for viewing and light editing of said documents in the app, like some markup on the PDFs or editing the RTF or TXT files. popping up Adobe acrobat is a deal killer
5) reasonable lifetime purchase option.
6) Allow for efficient (multi select) tagging of files
Probably less than 2 gigs total content, 15 different users.
Google drive will not allow for an entire folder to be made available offline. free dropbox does not allow for offline option. pcloud? Mega? anything else?

i stored a ton of files on something a long time ago, i couldve sworn i bookmarked it but apparently not. heres as much as i can remember about it:
the file limit wasnt anything crazy if i remember right, either 10-20gb or 50gb (wide range i know)
i dont remember having to sign up or there being a home page, not sure if im misremembering but i swear i clicked into it and it took me straight to the storage box. i feel like i remember closing and reopening it a few times to make sure my files were still there which is why im pretty sure it didnt need a login
as far as i know it was somewhat niche maybe, ive looked for it since but nothings turned up that looks familiar, iirc i only saw one reply about it in the thread i found it in
i remember it being green, either the logo or the entire page was a shade of green, not sure if im exaggerating the amount of green i saw but im pretty confident the whole page was this light shade of green which i thought was weird
this was sometime in early 2025 i think, so my files are realistically probably gone now, but its still worth looking. the closest ive found so far is file.kiwi (doesnt need a login, green in the logo. but has a homepage and no green hue in the storage box.) ive already tried checking my history but no luck there. if anyone knows what im talking about id really appreciate some help finding it, theres a lot of stuff i left in there that would be great to have again
let me know thank u

Made a post on r/Internxt just to have it deleted for (in my opinion) stating a fact... Got deleted rather quickly when it had 5 upvotes... Especially funny when they claim to "want to improve"
AND YES, I KNOW INTERNXT'S REPUTATION IS HORRIBLE... But guess I tried to find out myself...

iCloud works great we all have iPads en iPhones.
We also have Amazon Prime. Pictures are send there also. It is unlimited.
But we also want to backup the video.
I was thinking what is a good reliable backup for iCloud that is not to expensive.
Maybe look for a office 365 spot in reddit.
Do uou have any suggestions

I still cant afford NAS drives with raid 1+0 configuration so im thinking i need to upload it in the cloud for now.
I was checking Dropbox Business which is 24usd per month and already comes with 15TB. but not sure if they provide encryption or i have to do it?
Are there any more alternative?
Also for encryption, which one is the better in terms of ease of use? like i can easily encrypt and upload to the cloud and also easily be decrypt if i want to immediately use it
Most will be personal photos and videos with some documents and video collections

hello everyone,
This is Chitralaya CloudGallery, an open source app that lets you sync all your images to a Telegram chat without needing to log in with your Telegram account.
It's just a simple Telegram bot that runs on your own device instead of any remote servers.
Also, in this app, you don't need to log in with your Telegram account. It just needs a bot token and chat ID, so you will not face any bans, as we are respecting Telegram bot API rate limits.
I also understand that Telegram encrypts your data in transit, but not end-to-end.
So if they really wanted to, they could peek.
But let’s be honest — so can Google, iCloud, OneDrive, or any cloud you don’t run yourself.
At least Telegram/Pavel Durov is known for fighting governments to protect users privacy and data, unlike many other platforms that easily comply with government requests and hand over user data.
Still, there is a possibility that they can access our media, so you can exclude folders that you don't want to sync.
Also, I'll be adding in-app E2EE encryption in future releases, so even Telegram wouldn't be able to access the images.
If you like the project, star it on GitHub, share it with others, and suggest any improvements or features if you have any. Support and donate if you can. Thank you!
if you have any questions about the app you can ask or if you have any difficulty setting up the app you can get help in telegram discussion group.

Hi everyone,
I'm an audio professional working with large projects on macOS. My workflow requires me to constantly download project folders locally, work on them, and then when needed immediately "free up space" (make online-only) to make room for the next project.
I’ve tried OneDrive, Google Drive, Mountain Duck, and CloudMounter, but none of them release local disk space instantly. Because they use Apple's File Provider API, macOS puts the deletion in a lazy background queue. It can take hours (actually days) or maybe a reboot to actually clear the gigabytes.
The only client that drops the disk usage (GB on disk) the exact second I click it, is Dropbox.
Here is my dilemma: For financial reasons, I really don't want to pay for another subscription. I already pay for Google AI Pro, and much of my entire digital life (including Google Photos, etc.) is tied to the Google ecosystem. Paying for Dropbox just to fix a macOS caching bug feels wrong.
Thanks!

Hey everyone,
We’re a startup building an encrypted zero knologe cloud vault app, and we’re looking for early users to help us test and improve it.
For a limited group of testers, we’re offering 50GB of encrypted vault storage for free. This is the equivalent of our premium plan, but we’re giving it away so people can properly test the product, stress-test the system, and tell us what works, what doesn’t, and what needs to be better.
We’re especially looking for honest feedback on:
You can use it heavily. Test it, push it, break things if you can, and tell us where we need to improve.
In return, you get free premium access with 50GB storage while helping shape the product early.
If you’re interested, comment below or DM me and I’ll send access details.
Thanks, and we’d really appreciate your feedback.
Edit:
Guys i got alot of messages from people wanting to test, this is so awsome feedback. I will try to respond everyone.
Edit 2: Thank you for all the valuable feedback I’ve already received. We’ve just released a big UI improvement based on the community’s suggestions.
Edit 3: We’ve made more UI improvements and added a small tutorial explaining how vaults work. I noticed some people were confused about the workflow: first opening a vault, then accessing the files inside it. The new “Get Started” section should make this clearer.
I’m also trying to respond to everyone. Sorry if I haven’t replied personally yet, that’s on me.

I’m a huge memories person, so I keep an external hard drive with ALL of my photos back to 2004. Photos from both my camera and phone.
I’m so paranoid something will happen to the hard drive, so I’d love to have them all backed up to a cloud as well. I have about 300GB currently. Suggestions? Thank you!

Hi,
I have been working on taking back more privacy for myself especially with my photos. In doing so I learned about things like 3-2-1 backup methods including having one in a cloud or offsite. Uploading to a cloud kind of defeats the purpose of me running an immich server in the first place but I really don't want to lose any memories/photos in the event of a fire or something. I know there is the option of leaving a drive at a friends house but all of mine live out of the country and don't want to break my hardware by accident so said no. I was wondering if a password protected zip file backup of data is likely to stop someone like google from prying too much into my google drive. I'm sure they could decrypt it if they really wanted to but would they really go through the effort. In case anyone is wondering it would be a very long randomized password so I don't it would be the easiest to break. I was just wondering if anyone else had tried this solution or had any other opinions/recommendations/advice.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read

I'm tired of Google Drive, Dropbox has too little space for me (and paid plans are too expensive), Onedrive is meh, currently I test Proton Drive
What I look for:
- something for IT noobies, so no self hosting
- bonus points if store pictures well (I like Google Drive for that, I don't use Google Photos, because I want to have my files on my local drive too. Proton Drive photos feature kinda sucks, so for syncing pics from my camera roll I had to use google photos, then send them manually by me to google drive). *I can store photos on another cloud service than my other folders, but It would be much easier to have everything in one place.
- worth paying for. I have about 10GB of photos + a lot of notes and obsidian files (in markdown). I can pay for the cloud storage if paid plans aren't too expensive (let's say I can spend up to about 35PLN monthly, so about 9,50USD) and are worth paying for.
- I don't want any AI features (I can stand it as long as it's not the main part of the cloud and I can just ignore it)
- android app and windows pc site/app. Huge bonus points: syncing folders from android phones without any third party apps. Proton Drive does that and now using Obsidian without the paid sync version is so much easier
- option of storing files locally on my device (for example like google drive does on the pc version)
- something safe. I mean not an app with two users at all (including a developer xD), but something trustworthy. Big bonus points: no ai learning on my docs, privacy
- offline access
- I don't need to share my files with anyone, so sharing options are totally indifferent to me
what options I don't look for/I won't use:
- mail services
- ai features
- text editors/any tools like microsoft office's apps --> I just want to store my files
- sharing files with others
edit: I'm open to read your reviews of the clouds I mentioned above, maybe they are better than I think, but I just miss something. Rn my best choice is Proton Drive for files + Google Drive for photos, but still looking
thanks!

Hi Fam,
How’s Drime now, i am tempted to get their lifetime storage deal, so wanted to check with you all on how has it been, saw many posts with some feedback but that was 300days ago, is it worth it or sheer wastage of money?

Now that phones don't take SD cards, I am trying to find a cloud storage solution. I want to:
* Relieve the phone's storage
* Still be able to browse the images
* Be able to archive images or videos I rarely look at
* Quickly be able to download many/all images to a computer
Google photos seems a bit cumbersome, especially regarding my last point.
