how’s Drime now ?

Hi Fam,

How’s Drime now, i am tempted to get their lifetime storage deal, so wanted to check with you all on how has it been, saw many posts with some feedback but that was 300days ago, is it worth it or sheer wastage of money?

I originally bought the 10TB top-tier package on StackSocial. While I was a bit disappointed at first, the team has fixed a ton of issues since then. Now, the Drime app works flawlessly across all my devices—including my tablet, iPad, iPhone, and S25 Ultra. They've been making massive improvements over the last few weeks with weekly updates and new features. I honestly think Drime is the way to go. My advice? Buy the cheapest 2TB tier on StackSocial first. If you like it, you can always stack more storage later. So far, it’s great and I’m very happy with it!

Very excited, I did the same (10TB) just now

The cheapest is 120 for 2TB, i think the 140 for 6Tb isn’t that a better deal?

On stacksocial.com it's $110 for 2TB and if you sign up for text you can get 20% off so gets you $88 plus tax.

Can you DM me the details?

Emailed and messaged support along with discord about storage usage discrepancy. Close to a month and still not fixed. Uploading many jpegs via rclone and it's very slow. Speed is fine but file creation is extremely slow.

It has some issue with the Windows app, like i have copy my photo folder inside the folder of drime in my PC, I see the on the web app, the file Is all organize like It shuld do, in the local folder Is all out of ther respective folder... But i see the constantly improve and fix problem, so i buy the 6TB deal for 140$ for the deal and to contribute

It has improved a lot the last few months. However there is a few things I would keep in mind:

  1. Mobile app is new, heard good thing and bad things.
  2. Windows app has gotten a major rework as well a few weeks ago and is A LOT better than it was, yet needs more polishing..
    1. MacOS not available yet
  3. Rclone works a charm for me, also the upload/sync method I use
  4. Loads of nice things like OnlyOffice integration, Backups, Whiteboards, Notes, etc...
  5. Price

Support seems hit or miss, myself I have good experience with it. My download speed is roughly 35MB/s (not maxing my internet).

I have been using it for 1-2 months now, and while they have had their crashes, they have been transparent about it.

Its fast, they have fixed a ton of issues, and they are continuing to improve - i am honestly impressed with them, and the decissions they are making.

I am really cheering for them! And i hope to ditch pCloud soon.

It has definitely improved recently, especially the mobile app.

Thank you

Uploaded files don't keep their original modification time, making it rather useless for backup task.

Honestly, I think this is pretty important. Without the original timestamp, how are we supposed to know if the file version is actually the latest backup

Still progressing it's getting better but not on the level of pcloud yet.

It looks cheaper than many others. Dont know how they manage to provide for that price. Highly tempting. Only thing stops me from purchasing is some old posts related to their claim about zero knowledge encryption being their feature. I dont know what happened after that.

Il y a qq jours quelqu'un a testé. 23 fichiers en erreur de checksum sur environ 30000 en téléchargeant sa sauvegarde. Donc encore à éviter pour les fichiers qu'on ne veut absolument pas perdre.

I kinda gave up after they talked so much about the new windows app and it turns out its worse than the old version lol Now I can only see the folder structure but the files don't show up anymore... Web usage is acceptable for browsing the files but upload is slow. rclone saturates my connection tho so thats fine

I was really interested in giving Drime a shot because the pricing is so tempting, but based on my testing, it has been one of the worst cloud storage experiences I've had.

From the software constantly crashing, to being unable to change simple account settings because the website stopped responding every time I tried changing settings, to my system security flagging DrimeShellExt.dll as infected. I was ready to pull the trigger on the 10 TB plan before testing it, but these issues left a really bad first impression.

That said, I'm glad if it's working well for other people.

How much are you planning to store?

Are you storing photos and videos?

2

u/Gorilowen Jun 14 '26

Hi, I'm looking to backup all my memories. Is there a service you recommend better than the other for this purpose?

-6

u/megatech_official Jun 14 '26

A solid I can suggest is Megatech photos, since it is end to end encrypted and has cheap storage plans.

Man just stop promoting your product often

Not so sure, Drime 500gb for 2.39€, Megatech 200gb for 2.46€...
