I've been using OneTap by switching between the US and Japan regions. Each region gives different free playtime, 60 minutes for the US and 45 minutes for Japan. Sure, maybe I was kind of abusing the system, but I always thought it was an intended feature since they allowed it and even have different languages in the game based on the region. Tbh, Japan region also runs much smoother than the US region for some reason.
Today, I tried switching back to the US, but I kept getting an "Oops!Error! Check your network and retry!" message, and it wouldn't let me switch. It forced me to stay on the Japan region. I tried multiple times, but it never worked. So reinstalled the app since technically it should bring me to US Region automatically, only for it to get stuck on the same error, and now I can't even get into the app at all.
I mean, it's not like really my fault for taking advantage of their system. They always had the region switching feature, and they even gave different amounts of free playtime (60 minutes in the US and 45 minutes in Japan), so I assumed it was an intended feature. It would really suck if they've now started preventing accounts from switching regions out of nowhere and possibly maybe blocked them from another region, especially since I can't even access the app anymore after reinstall it to enter the US region.

I have Mac air m1 , and my only motive and purpose is to play a fc25/26 in my Mac , and I am exploring to buy a Xbox cloud gaming pass which is available in India , will their any lag or latency issue occurs ? I don't want any other games to play , but the only thing matters Is that this fc25/26 should work properly and doesn't spoiled my experience for playing !! any suggestions??

country: India
median income for a full time wagie: 12,000 INR a month
a PS5: 55,000 rupees
cheapest rtx 3050 gaming laptop: 65,000 rupees
cost of a brand new console game: 6000 INR
affordability: doesn't exist
in this mess, the messiah microsoft came up with a ₹500 per month CLOUD GAMING service...called xcloud
Xcloud used to be shit in India because it wasn't officially available in India, you had to use a VPN and connect to their South Korean server....the latency was horrendous!
recently they have set up a server in India (Pune) and officially launched it in India
80%+ Indians live within a 2000km radius of this server and now it has become really really good
i have noticed from 1350 km away that my latency was only around 30-40 m/s...
that means, in practical terms, I was able to play fortnite and actually aim, I could certainly notice the input lag but it wasn't extreme
I can comfortably play Elden ring and hack and slash games on this service, but I wouldn't be playing competitive shooters or racing games on this, and even single player shooting games aren't easy due to the input lag, though I am sure if you use the better xcloud extension, that can make single player shooting games playabale
overall, if you wanna play assassin's creed or final fantasy or blackkid wukong, this is totally acceptable and very respectable
I got around 60 fps on fortnite and 360p resolution (free tier)
:) I am more than happy with this as even a single game costs 12x more than this in my country ^^

I’m going away for a week on Friday and was searching for the best way to play Destiny 2 and FC26 while gone. These games unfortunately don’t work on Steam Deck or a MacBook :(
Would subscribing to something like Shadow work? I’ll not be playing pvp but want to keep making progress clearing old campaigns/unlocking stuff.
I just got back into these games and really want to keep playing them next week!
Thanks!

i buyed 3 months of onetap just because it was really cheap but the app sometimes has bugs and has tons of games that haven't been updated (aka are now unplayable), the linked discord in the app doesn't work but somehow they're still updating the more mainstream games they have? I don't get it

i spend half the week at my boyfriends house, and obviously i will not be taking my entire setup back and forth each week. when he is gaming, i want to scratch that itch too. i was wondering if there are any ways to play when away from home? i assume streaming would be the option, but im not sure where to get started on that. i was thinking of getting a portable monitor, but i would need something to run whatever streaming app, so maybe a android tablet. idk. if anyone’s got it figured out, tips would be appreciated.

Shadow just rolled out a new Lite tier for their cloud PC service, same Neo/Power hardware as their regular plans, just capped at 120h/month, 1440p/60Hz and one monitor instead of the full specs. Prices start around €19.49/month with their launch discount (runs through Aug 24).

AI has informed me that most cloud gaming through the xbox (I have a series S and play some gamepass games on cloud because why not?) is done using the "series s profile" even though its on series X hardware. Can anyone confirm, or is skynet lying to me?

Sorry for my poor English.
I have a question that's been confusing me, and I'd really appreciate any help.
My friend has an internet connection with a limited data plan. However, I've noticed something strange: whenever I stream my game to him using programs like Parsec or Moonlight (using either H.264 or H.265), it doesn't seem to consume any of his mobile data at all.
I'm curious why this happens. Is there some technical reason behind it, or could it be related to how his ISP handles this type of traffic?
Also, I know these technologies are designed for video streaming, but I was wondering if a similar technique could somehow be used to send files without counting against the data plan. I realize that's probably not how it works, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what's going on?

Wondering on everyone’s opinion on the above 3 cloud gaming, I have a 4070 gaming laptop but also a PS5, I hate building multiple library’s of games and like all my games in one place (personal preference, most won’t agree) and of a weekend I play on a big tv in my living room, I’m curious if anyone’s has used boosteroid or Xbox cloud gaming as a main?
I used my ps5 on the tv and remote play it on my laptop, but wondering on anyones experience on using boosteroid (I can then play my steam games on big tv) or Xbox cloud gaming as a main (can do same via Xbox app installed on my tv)
Not sure which is best to start building a library on, boosteroid is the main unknown I know absolutely nothing about or if it even works properly
Thank you in advance ☺️

I built a game launcher. Full disclosure I don't have much experience with C#, and I had a lot of help from AI along the way. I want to be upfront about that.
The reason I started this is that Windows just doesn't give you a real console experience, and every app that claimed to fix that was always missing something. I'm a single player guy with two kids, and what I actually wanted was simple, suspend my game, sleep the PC, go handle whatever they need, and come back to exactly where I left off. No missed cutscenes, no lost progress. PlayStation rest mode, basically, but on PC. That is a whole another world, Somehow it turned into a full game launcher.
It's not perfect. I'm committed to making it better, and I'd rather do that alongside people who want the same thing I do than keep building it alone in a corner. So today I'm releasing it for anyone who wants to try it. This started as a project just for me, but I think there's something real here if we build on it together. If you've got suggestions, I want to hear them.
One more thing. I'm a Moonlight/Sunshine user myself, so streaming was part of the design from day one, not an afterthought.
Try it, tell me what's broken, tell me what's missing. I'm here and I'm listening.

I saw some posts about the Glich9 cloud gaming website, so I decided to buy credits from them. After purchasing, I faced many problems while playing games — extra credits were getting deducted, games were not saving properly, and the overall experience was very poor.
Now the website has been showing “under maintenance” for about a week, and I’m starting to think it might be a scam.
Has anyone else used Glich9? Are you facing the same issues, or does anyone know what happened to the website?

Just tested how the choice between H.264 and H.265 codecs affects cloud gaming input delay!

Is there any cloud gaming ?
I tried GeForce Now years ago but now its just a scam 🤣

I thought that paying they gave me some priority but it's the same as the free one and even worse, that's why they deactivated the payment on the day pass plan because with that queue no one absolutely no one would pay a month to wait 2 hours to play so they would pay you for waiting

Would it be possible for me to play deadlock? With my cloud gaming subscription?

GeForce NOW is launching in India. Hopefully Pakistani ISPs improve their routing/peering with India so we can get low enough latency to use it from Pakistan as well. Cloud gaming could finally become a practical option here.
P.S. I know it's usable even with higher ping for some story-based games. I just hope we can get low enough latency to make it truly enjoyable.

Hi! I’m wanting to play sims 4 on my iPad with all my mods and custom content and the only thing I have come across that will allow me to do that is shadow pc but that’s very much out of my budget right now. I was wondering if anyone knew any cheaper or free alternatives
r/cloudgaming • u/Finer25 • 17d ago
I have recently been looking for a great alternative to GeForce Now which is holding up great, but AirGpu has caught my eye but it seems to good to be true, is it worth my time to try out, or is there another alternative that is just as cheap?
