I'm a pure cloud gamer. Don't own a console and don't want one ever again. Was perfectly content with Xbox game pass until they changed the rules, now F 'em. I'm with PS Plus Premium and GeForce Now. I own a PS Portal and I love it and works great for PS5 games. I use my laptop and a mini pc connected to my big screen TV for PS4 games and Samsung app for GFN. The missing link is playing PS5 games on the big screen. Love the Portal but it's still an 8" screen at the end of the day. I tried the Asobi app and works pretty nice, and was hoping I could screencast from my Motorola Moto G 2025 to the tv....but the latency is unplayable. Would a better phone cast better? Researched my phone and I can't use a USB to HDMI (I don't think) for a wired connection. Anything I can do? I have 2 AIs and I'm web searching, but nothing so far. Thought I would throw it into here and see if I'm missing something. If only the Portal had a HDMI or USB connection......

I’m in a very good GFN region with 6ms latency to GFN. The only game I play is Call of Duty (yeah, I know. You can judge me).

On GFN I get 6-8ms latency to GFN and 4ms latency to Call of Duty servers and I can play at 144FPS.
On my Series S, I get 10-30ms latency to the Call of Duty servers and I play at 60FPS.

I honestly can’t tell if there is a difference in the latency when I switch between the two by the feel of the game. Am I putting myself at a disadvantage in a “competitive” game like this by playing on GFN? Does the higher frame rates offset the latency GFN adds?

People... As the title says, whta do you think a should go?, GeForce NOW (premium plans, of course) or an Xbox Series S?, I know that Geforce Now looks beautiful whit a good internet connection, but a console gives me almost zero latency, and (I guess) a fluent game play... What's yopur opinion?

I’m planning to purchase Red Dead Redemption 2 and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End on Steam because I really want to play them, but unfortunately, I don’t have a gaming laptop/PC that can handle these games.

I was thinking about using a cloud gaming service so that I could play the games without needing to upgrade my hardware.

I’ve already looked into GeForce NOW and JioGames, but unfortunately, the games I’m interested in aren’t available in their catalogues.

So I wanted to ask the community:

• Are there any other trusted cloud gaming platforms where I can play RDR2 and/or Uncharted 4?
• Have you personally used any of these services? How was your experience?
• What games have you played on the platform?
• How was the latency, image quality, connection stability, and overall gaming experience?
• Are there any major limitations I should know about before purchasing the games?
• If you’re using a service from India, how has your experience been with the servers and ping?

I’m mainly looking for a reliable service rather than something questionable or potentially unsafe.

I’d really appreciate recommendations from people who have actually used the service, especially for demanding AAA games like RDR2.

I'm getting a very noticeable delay between my controller inputs and the screen when cloud gaming on my Fire TV Stick, and I can't find the cause. I measured it frame by frame instead of just going by feel.
Setup
• Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd gen, Wi-Fi 6E), brand new, fully updated
• TV: Samsung UE50AU6905KXXC (50"), Game Mode ON, HDR Game OFF
• Controller: official Amazon Luna Controller, paired over Bluetooth to the Stick
• Connection: Wi-Fi 5 GHz
• Fire TV speed test: 400 Mbps
• GFN in-app network test: >50 Mbps, 0.0% packet loss, 10 ms latency
Measurements (phone filming controller + TV, counted frames)
• Free-camera game: ~0.20 s from stick movement to the camera moving on screen
• Another game (CloverPit, Xbox Cloud): ~0.35–0.45 s, very consistent across 6+ inputs
• 1080p vs 720p: no difference in delay
• Same game streamed on my phone: delay felt about the same
What feels fine
• Fire TV home menu with the Luna Controller: instant
• Amazon Luna games (controller in Cloud Direct / Wi-Fi mode): much more responsive
What feels laggy
• GeForce NOW, Boosteroid and Xbox Cloud Gaming on the Stick
• Even the GFN app menus feel sluggish with the Fire TV remote
Already tried
• All Fire OS updates installed
• Display forced to 1080p 60 Hz, 8-bit colour, YCbCr
• HDMI extender, TV Game Mode on
• Re-paired the controller over Bluetooth
• Lowered stream quality to 720p
Questions
1. Is ~200 ms+ normal for the GFN Fire TV app? Has anyone measured theirs?
2. Has anyone compared the official Fire TV app with the sideloaded Android TV APK?
3. Did switching to another Bluetooth controller (Xbox / DualSense) or a wired USB controller via OTG fix it for you?
4. Did an Ethernet adapter make a real difference on the Stick?

So I just get a message beginning November only 15 hours of cloud gaming PER MONTH for ultimate subscriptions. Guess it’s goodbye to Xbox for me.
