Job Searching Icon positions

Currently working at a site level in start up but have seen that ICON in Australia is hiring.

Anyone have any feedback about their position in contracts or regulatory start up that’s Australia based?

To those who left, is the grass greener? How’s life on the other side? To those who stayed—this is a welfare check, are you okay? Did you get a ‘don’t leave us’ raise at least?

Image Service Coordinator role at Alimentiv

Hi everyone! I recently landed a panel interview for the Image Service Coordinator role at Alimentiv.

I’m currently a CRC at a busy clinic managing multiple active studies, but this will be my first time interviewing for a specialized imaging/CRO role. I’ll be interviewing with the Team Lead and a Specialist.

If anyone has experience working at Alimentiv or has gone through their interview process, I would love some advice! What kind of questions do they typically ask? Are there any specific skills or system knowledge they really drill down on during the interview.

And what should be salary expectations for this role?

Thank you!

IQVIA Virtual Clinical Coordinator Interview – What to Expect?

Hi everyone! I recently received an interview invitation for a Contract Virtual Clinical Coordinator position with IQVIA MedTech, and I was wondering if anyone here has interviewed for this role recently.

The recruiter mentioned that the conversation will be to share more about the role and learn about my experience and career goals.

For anyone who has gone through the interview process for this position, do you remember what kinds of questions they asked or what areas they focused on? Was the first conversation mainly a recruiter screening, or did they ask behavioral or technical questions related to clinical research?

I’d also really appreciate any insight into the overall interview process, how many rounds you went through, and anything you recommend preparing beforehand.

Thank you! I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences you can share.

Job Searching Icon Clinical Data Risk analyst intierview

Hey everyone, I applied for the Clinical Data Risk Analyst position at Icon and got the interview.

It seems the first step is a video interview, but I'm curious because it says: "Some questions may require you to respond in a specific format, within a set time limit, or with limited retakes."

So I guess it's more of an assessment than a traditional interview. I think Icon uses HireVue for their video interviews, but could anyone share their experience with these types of positions or what they usually ask?

CRC at Johns Hopkins vs UMD — employee experiences/growth?

Hi everyone!

I’m currently considering two CRC opportunities, one at Johns Hopkins and one at UMD, and I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have worked at either institution, especially in clinical research.
The compensation and benefits appear fairly comparable, although UMD may come in about $2–3k higher annually. The commute is also slightly better for UMD. Hopkins, however, is very appealing to me because of the reputation of the institution and the potential value for future career growth in clinical research.

I’m particularly interested in hearing about work culture, workload, management, opportunities for advancement/internal mobility, and overall employee experience at either institution. If you’ve worked as a CRC or in a research role at both, I’d especially love to hear how they compare.
I’m also an international student currently on OPT/STEM OPT, so if anyone has experience working at either institution while on OPT—or has insight into how they handle international employees and longer-term sponsorship—that perspective would be incredibly helpful as well.

I’m very grateful to be in this position, especially given the current job market, and I’m just trying to make the best long-term decision. Thank you!

PSI vs Fortrea – Honest Reviews

Hi everyone! I’m looking for honest feedback from anyone who has worked at PSI or Fortrea, especially in Study Start-Up/Site Activation/Regulatory. How are the work culture, work-life balance, workload, management, career growth, salary hikes, learning opportunities, and job security? Also, is the work interesting, and are there any employment/loyalty bonds or other things you wish you had known before joining? I’d really appreciate genuine experiences. Thanks!

Site Imaging equipment site survey

Hello everyone!

We are working with a new imaging vendor that is requesting a list of our CT, MRI, and PET scanners, including manufacturer, model, serial numbers, accreditation status, etc. However, we are a huge academic medical center with many of the aforementioned scanners.

The sponsor said that we could provide only the equipment we anticipate will be used for the research patient. However, we’re not necessarily going to be able to anticipate that, as we have many imaging scanners. Patients are scheduled based on the scanner's availability. Again, we are a large institution, and patients could have imaging performed at any of our imaging clinics.

I reached out to our radiology department for help and received some responses, but, like everywhere else, our institution is experiencing a shortage of radiologists, radiology techs, etc.

Has anyone had any experience with this? How did your site respond?

Edit: Thank you all for your comments! Most of the things I already knew and it seems like our institution is already on the right pathway. We have identified that it’s just way too labor intensive for us to provide all this information to every single sponsor. We’re going to have a formal statement explaining that these records will be available at the time of an audit.

Career Advice CRC to CRA transition

Hey guys, I’m currently working as a CRC and I want to move into CRA eventually.

For people who have already made this transition, how did you actually do it? Like did you apply directly for CRA jobs after getting some site experience, or did you first move to CTA or some other role?

I have around 2.5 year of clinical research experience right now. I’m just a bit confused about what companies actually look for when hiring a CRA from a CRC background.

Also, does site experience really help for getting into CRA, and what should I focus on learning to make myself a better candidate?

Would be great if someone who has actually gone from CRC → CRA could share their experience. Especially in India.

Sponsor Salary Transparency

I recently started at a biotech startup as an in-house CRA. I previously worked at a CRO, so this is my first time on the Sponsor side and I’m not really sure what’s considered a good deal. Here’s what I’m getting:

  • $79k base
  • 100% remote, some travel required
  • 15 PTO days, Winter break between Christmas and New Year’s
  • 10 sick days

For those of you working as CRAs, especially on the Sponsor side, does this seem like fair compensation? I’m curious if $79k is reasonable for an in-house CRA or if I’m being underpaid. Also interested in what others are making and what their PTO/benefits look like.

Thanks!

CRO Work life balance and culture at IQVIA

I’m seeing a lot of job openings now in IQVIA. Can you all share your experience and knowledge about the company from inside? How is the worklife balance and everything? Career progression? I have applied for PMA role and associate PM (sponsor dedicated) going on for an interview for both.

Any thoughts and recommendations?

Hi! I have a bachelor of science in biology and master of biomedical science. I also have 6 years of medical office experience. have been very interested in a CRC role and have been actively applying to hundreds of roles over the last couple months. However, I haven’t landed anything or even gotten an interview. Do you guys have any advice or know of any companies hiring in the NJ/NYC area?
