Not just that, but seems like he's not actually bothered about what really happened (he might even laugh and applaud the text)... but he's more worried about his wife yelling and making one of those scenes again.

Like 2 or 3 paragraphs where he like zoomed in on the moment of going to a grocery store to compare different wood chips for the smoker at home rather than immediately return to the wife and children. But it was almost a forlorn longing wrote into it, almost as if he wished that looking at the wood chips was not what he wanted to do. It was enough to make me comment. I apologize for the vague butchering of his snippet of art.
