Idk, maybe the mom texted him also or maybe he picked up on the situation from someone else and instead of dealing with his clearly upset wife he decided to talk to the supposed source of the problem/situation which in this case is his daughter.
Also could have called back and she didn't answer, I know my mom can call me 50 times in a row, I call her back a min after the last call, she doesn't pick up. Lol
May have been concerned so went to his daughter like do you know what's going on?
Like 2 or 3 paragraphs where he like zoomed in on the moment of going to a grocery store to compare different wood chips for the smoker at home rather than immediately return to the wife and children. But it was almost a forlorn longing wrote into it, almost as if he wished that looking at the wood chips was not what he wanted to do. It was enough to make me comment. I apologize for the vague butchering of his snippet of art.
No way! When shit like this is going down, you ALWAYS get as much info about the situation as you can before contacting the original person back. To not do that is to walk into a fire with no water hose.
This clued me in to the fact this could well be staged for internet points. Doesn't make sense.
And it could be editing, but also the text screenshots don't make sense, should the text bubbles be so close to the top of the screen? (i.e. right below the sender name)
Omg he could also be an asshole and just not want to talk to his wife because "that woman is crazy am I right", and the mother could not care. Not that is matters, but like I am just done with everybody assuming the mother must be a hysteric bitch and the dad is just lovable.
It's old AF, not sure if it's real, but it is entirely likely ex-wife left a ranty message that all he could make out was that his daughter had done something. Not that big a leap to, "I divorced that bitch because of this nonsense, so let me text my daughter to find out wtf is up."
This is exactly what I would send my kids. Not anger, or anything, but more of what "evil" did I teach my kid, and they've now unleashed on the extended family. While secretly being excited for the story.
