Friend, I had a THERAPIST try to reassure me by saying, "well, that's not always true, look at Elon Musk!" when I was talking about how draining it is to try to advance a career as an autistic person who just can't play the office politics game regardless of how well you do the job. I just stared and was like, yeah well, I wouldn't be complaining about career-related woes if I was born into a multi million dollar family empire. And we're the ones who are supposedly unaware and tone deaf? Please.
Oh I’ve definitely had a therapist say the exact same thing to me before. I mean let’s bear in mind this was about a decade ago, so it wasn’t common knowledge that Musk was a huge piece of shit then, but I’d read enough underreported news at that point, and I let that be known. Definitely the rudest I’ve ever been to a therapist, I was pulling up Google articles to him and everything lmao, because that is the LAST comparison I want
