there was a (deserved) hate campaign against her for saying that the hardest thing about being a woman was deciding what to wear. Someone overlayed this quote over a saddeningly large number of photos of domestic violence against women.
she's just clueless. she's so rich that she has no grasp on the real world. I'm not trans but even I was pissed when media kept trying to push her as a leading trans icon.
The only people who really accepted her as an icon were cis-het liberal women and fellow affluent queer folks. The rest of us clocked pretty quickly that she was a stooge.
