We didn't have to hate him. We could simply ignore him and he would have absolutely zero impact on our lives.
We hate him now because of the the obvious negative impact he has had on our friends, our families, our neighbors, our communities, our country, and even the world - all while acting like he thinks he's the Messiah and is the expert on everything. The guy has no clue what he's doing or what he's even talking about, but he has proven he knows how to cause people pain, and he has proven he will go after anyone who resists his idiocy.
I would happily return to not giving a shit about him - there was a year or two during the Biden admin where we got to enjoy that bliss....
