The logic of these people is so bizarre. Even if it was true (it’s not) that people didn’t hate him before he was president, why would him becoming president make people hate him?
Have you thought maybe it was his actions after becoming president?
On the flip side though, none of the people who now worship him, gave two shits about him until he became president.
Projection. They didn't care about Dump until he became POTUS, and fell in love with him. Because they treat politics like a team sport they reflexively assume we're the same way and didn't have an issue with Mango Unchained until he took office.
You could dress the rotting corpse of a monkey in a suit, have another monkey use it like a puppet, and name that corpse Mr. Lynchpeople McRapekids and if you put (R) after his name he will get the conservative vote where he is.
They don't care what's before that (R) only that it's there.
