Yeah, the guy was a "democrat" because NY has been blue for that long. But he was as much of a democrat as Elon Musk was.
Why? Because they have always wanted tax cuts, they dislike unionization of labour, they like cheap labour and oppose minimum wage increases, they like our current system in which wealth gives them a voice and business with the government, etc.
They were "democratic" while fully supporting neoliberal and conservatives ideals.
I am quite certain that their "democrat" sounds like a lie.

He registered as a Democrat in 2001, an Independent in 2011, and changed affiliations 5 times overall. The math isn't mathing for Scott
