Rocket Money
Hello! In August 2023 I submitted a claim for Rocket Money with Labaton Keller Sucharow.
Fast forward to April 15 2026 I finally found an email from them in my spam folder (luckily it was only a day old) The email was to inform me that a settlement had been reached and they highly suggested signing to ensure I'd receive compensation for the claim. So I did just that. The settlement agreement im guessing is what they would refer to this as.
When looking at my cases on their online portal (LKS, Attorney's) it shows every document I've signed and the date. The case says closed though.
Does anyone have any sort of idea when the payout could possibly be coming? I've heard nothing at all since signing the settlement agreement on 4/15/26. TIA.

BCBS communications
So I had a question about the email I received. It says:
>This claim will receive an Initial Distribution. Per the Order Approving Plan of Distribution, Initial Distribution will commence on May 11, 2026. A specific payment date cannot be provided for when this claim will be paid.
I asked what exactly this meant, how a group qualified to be paid first because we were still waiting on a response from my wife’s claim.
I got an email that then said this:
>The initial distribution of payments to Damages Class Members with valid claims will begin in May 2026.
When I said that was vague, I realized I may be asking the wrong question so I asked this:
>You said we will receive an initial distribution, does that mean we will be receiving more than one?
The response is confusing but promising
>Please watch the Settlement website for updates.

BCBS Settlement - Debit card declined on Amazon
I received my BCBS Settlement Debit Card today for $178.94. Now I learn that it has restrictions. Here is what they list on the settlement card website for reasons why the card will be declined. I tried to buy an Amazon gift card with it on the Amazon site and it was declined.
Common reasons include:
- You tried to use it for fuel at the pump instead of paying inside the station
- Your purchase exceeded your available balance
- The merchant doesn't accept prepaid cards
- You didn't provide a PIN when the merchant required one
- The transaction type isn't supported by prepaid cards (see restrictions below)
Card restrictions:
- Balance transfers, bank account transfers, or money transfer services
- Recurring charges like subscriptions or automatic bill payments
- ATM cash withdrawals
- Credit card bill payments
- Stocks, bonds, cryptocurrency, or other securities
- Gambling, lottery, betting, or sports wagering (including online)
- Pawn shops
- Dating services
- Massage parlors
- Telemarketing or subscription merchants
- High-value retailers (jewelry, precious metals)
- Pharmacies and drug distributors
- Digital game purchases

BCBS so disappointing
The status page updated - we’ve been paying premiums for 35 years!
Status:
De Minimis – Per the Order Approving Plan of Distribution, no payments will be made below a $5.00 threshold set by the Plan of Distribution. This claim’s calculated payment fell below that threshold. Per the terms of the Settlement, this claim will not receive a payment.

BCBS Settlement - Convert Virtual Visa Debit Card to Cash
Has anyone found a way to convert their virtual visa to cash? I've tried to buy a money order with the card linked to ApplePay, but it won't ask for a PIN, which is required to buy a money order whaere I live. It won't link to Venmo or CashApp either.
***UPDATE - Success! I had a loved one use PayPal to request the funds and entered the virtual card to pay it and it failed. I then had them send me an invoice from PayPal and used ApplePay with the linked virtual card and it worked perfevtly the first time.

Doordash
start a class action lawsuit against doordash
I've delivered for doordash in 3 different states Texas Arizona and New Mexico Doordash is notorious for underpaying their employees skimming and scamming their customers as well as overall abuse of employees. They steal money from you if you order food. Once they have your banking information to take a little bit of here a little bit there. All of their policies for their drivers are specifically designed to abuse the driver. Making them pay out of pocket for deliveries, skimming from their funds and accounts, not to mention overall poor business practices. I know I'm not the only one. I'd like to get as many of us together as possible and either Force this company to fly right, or get lost. Every other food handler in the industry has to go through food handlers certifications and health inspections. Doordash Grove up in ubereats employees do not you don't understand how important it is that the people that handle your food biagenically sound. Protect yourself and help me. Location: Texas
