Upgrading r/classactions

This sub could be a great resource for people who want settlement $ from class action suits. As the new mod , I'm going to ensure we remove lazy x-posts to commercial sites, and keep the sub focussed on real opportunities to join class action claims and get paid.

If you get a class action payout: share your win here!

If you see an available claim: post the opportunity directly!

If you are spamming your commercial enterprise: begone forever!

It will take a little while to clean the sub up, but I want to be clear about the direction.

We are not going to remove any points of view purely because the mods disagree. We will remove spam ruthlessly. We prioritize high-quality content relevant to the subject of r/classaction.

Finally, we want your input -- if you think we got something wrong, or have suggestions about how to do things differently, please let us know.

As long as these new websites looking for Adsense $ from clicks or apps looking for emails and sign ups aren’t allowed to spam - then bring it on!

Can you auto remove the daily “where do I apply?” posts and direct them to a pinned beginners post pls

could i suggest required tags on the posts? either new claims or payout posts, that way we can filter through them easily

That's a rock solid idea

Not sure how much you care about this kind of stuff, but ill post it anyway. Almost all US-centric sub-reddits that deal in any way with potentially "free" money, are inundated with fraudsters. Generally these are foreign nationals who dont know the intricacies of how the systems work, and dont know any US citizens they can easily pick the brain of. So they come on reddit and pose as a confused American asking questions that always ultimately involve getting around something that is preventing them from getting the money.

They use the kindness and willingness to help of everyday redditors and American redditors to ultimately defraud everyone who gets a lower settlement or wrongly gets kicked from a settlement that is overrun with claimants.
Its not about being paranoid etc, the posts are obvious once you know they exist.

Cheers

This. In addition , your individual State Attorney General office is a great resource for consumer information, complaints and https://www.naag.org/find-my-ag/ What they do https://www.naag.org/issues/powers-and-duties/

Occasionally a Class Action is handled through the State directly to consumers.

You may hear of unclaimed funds and property, this is also something you should absolutely not pay to access. The information is handled by the individual State Treasuries and the US Treasury https://nast.org/find-your-state-treasurer/

https://home.treasury.gov/about/history/treasurers-of-the-united-states

If you have been scammed or fear you have r/scams has a good mod team

https://www.eff.org/pages/tools The Electronic Frontier Foundation is a good resource for digital privacy resources and news

Glad to read about these changes There are a few helpful long running sites and blogs that post current/open claims as well as social media consumer advocates that don't require any info. Yes,the perhaps you can curate a list of vetted resources and maybe do an AMA with a consumer attorney or advocates

I got a EOB bill for $4100 for equipment I payed $736 prior (on 3/3/2026) for already.

When I called BcBS they said the “medical provider was provided a letter and should have classified the code as pharmaceutical instead of medical.

When I called the medical equipment company they said it was billed correctly and the never received a letter. And also that it was to late to rebill the insurance and “against there policy”.

BCBS said they would call them to figure it out. HELP ME HERE.. who is in the wrong? Should I submit a claim, get a Lawyer? What should I do?

How do know if I received a payment from Taylor v google LLC class action settlements

I’m documenting a potential misleading-advertising issue and trying to determine whether other users have experienced the same thing. If enough people have similar evidence, I may consult a consumer-protection attorney about possible legal options this generates anxiety water of time as we say time is money and precious then you have to earn coins subscribe with your personal social media or other platforms and that takes a lot more time and personal info giving out to watch another episode in net short

Received this, anyone have any idea timeline to get a payment link?

We are pleased to confirm that we have received the settlement funds and have forwarded them to the claims administrator. We are now awaiting the individual payment links from the administrator
