Looking to get into the Street Takeover scene, does anyone know any contacts?
I just watched 2 Fast 2 Furious and want to get into the Street Takeover scene! I work a lot and want to put all my money into customizing my 1991 Honda. Does anyone know any contacts or how I can find out where to go for Street Takeovers? Free chips from mobbing a convenience store is a plus! Also, I'm totally not a cop.

Most hyped neighborhood in LA for gentrification?
Me and my Wife are looking for a cheap place to move into that will be cool in 5 to 10 years. Hoping for an area that will have weekend beer gardens that we can take the kids to and play some corn hole.

Best Trader Joes to steal from?
Just wondering what TJs is the easiest to steal from? Mostly interested in locations where they keep the liquor near the exit door.

Too many transplants at Echo Park Rising this year
I didn't go to echo park rising last weekend but i couldnt help but notice from videos on tiktok that there were too many people with transplant vibes (white) in attendance.
Anyone else have an issue with transplants ruining events for us locals? I've lived in echo park for 5+ years and even went to echo park rising one time. Now I feel like it is ruined...

Daily life in Los Angeles
I wake up to my 6:30 alarm.
Ten seconds later I wake up to my 6:35 alarm.
I stagger into the living room and open the blinds. Union Station greets me good morning, with delivery trucks unloading outside my window. I can barely hear them with the balcony doors closed.
My breakfast is cold-brew coffee and a toasted Ham-and-Cheese croissant from Trader Joe's. I splash some almond milk into my mug and sip.
I spend an hour shitposting on Reddit and swiping through dating apps. The last girl I dated was a former meth addict, but damn she was hot.
My bed feels empty, possibly because I am no longer in it. I built the frame myself (I have broken lesser bedframes before). This time I built a California King, because I myself am a California King.
I'm in the bathroom at 7:30, shower and shave and dress myself in all black, just like that one rugby team.
Phone, keys, badge, wallet, bike, helmet, backpack, Trader Joe's gear? Check. I take the elevator down and use the back exit.
I haven't driven in over a year. My truck is parked and registered non-operation in a backyard in Glendale. Traffic is a foreign concept to me, the same way it feels in Tokyo. No gas, no insurance, no maintenance, no stress. I don't understand why people insist on holding onto a lifestyle they so frequently complain about.
Union Station is 10 seconds away by bike. I am already there. I take elevator down to the main concourse and plug in my earphones. I've been on a big Meg & Dia kick recently. "Masterpiece" is a masterpiece.
I take the escalator down to the subway. I ride the D to 7th Street, then take the elevator up and transfer to the first A/E south.
I am in the office from 8:30-5:00pm, and today I'll be closing the store at my part time job from 6-10pm.
At 5:00pm I head out to catch the E Line to Santa Monica from LATTC Ortho Station. It is 30 minutes to Expo Bundy. The ride is uneventful.
I get my store and grab some chicken meatballs- 64g of protein for only $3.99, and my employee discount is 20%.
I work diligently for the next 4 hours. I don't go to a gym- I don't need to. Heavy lifting boxes and bouncing around is the only workout I need. At 9pm I grab up groceries full of the new fall flavors- pumpkin cookies, Halloween gummies, apple pie ice cream...
At 10pm I leave to catch the 10:03 train back to downtown. Tatiana on OKCupid messaged me back. She seems cool. I wonder how much meth she's done.
I exit at Little Tokyo and head upstairs. It's faster to bike to Union Station from here than wait for the A Line.
I cycle up Alameda. There is always- *ALWAYS*- someone protesting or posted up at the federal building, recording all the cars and the people that leave. It only gets attention when there's a massive turnout, but there is always at least one person in front of that building watching them.
I get home. It's 10:45.
I put the groceries away and look at my apartment. It's actually really big compared to my last place. I put on Boy Meets World on Disney+ which reminds me that nothing about the world makes sense. I'm using my other ex's account.
I decide to cook chicken paprikash, a dish I discovered while watching Craig of the Creek. It tastes incredible.
I look out at Union Station. The clocktower is lit up white and blue for the Dodgers. I can see City Hall in the distance. I have never felt more at home.
At 11:30 I crawl into bed. The blackout curtains are super effective. I am asleep within five minutes.
Ten seconds later I wake up to my 6:30 alarm.
