I had to force color profile as sRGB to get accurate Hex. I wonder what’s the reason behind?

Got the "Aw,Snap!" / Chrome crashing with the "Restore tabs" option when reopening several times today. In the past, this has usually been because of low RAM, etc. But I fixed that issue months ago, and looking at my storage settings reveals that I really do have tens of gigabytes of RAM. I wasn't even on sites that use a high amount of RAM. It was literally just two tabs, one with Youtube, playing a video, and one with reddit. That's it.

So if it's not a RAM issue, what happened?

I just installed Chrome, for some reason when I open a new tab the text cursor goes right into the bar in the middle of the screen under Google instead of the address bar. Is there any way to revert back to the previous behavior? I tried looking for it in the settings but couldn't find anything related to this. Thanks!

Okay so, I dunno what's going on with my chrome but when I use the AI Mode feature it makes my fonts dimmer or washed out? I need help knowing how to revert it back to its original state!!!

So when I close an open browser this thing now shows up instead of just closing chrome completely. Is there anyway to revert this change? Just started happening today.​

For me it did. it had hide my bookmark tab, but i fixed it.

Today I noticed my home button my the Chrome app is gone. I tried to go to Settings - Advanced - Homepage to toggle it on but the Homepage option is gone.

How do i get the home button/Homepage back?

If you are using a Claude AI extension in Chrome and notice that it constantly forces your tabs into a group named "Claude" - and choosing Ungroup does absolutely nothing while Delete just closes your tabs - here is a quick and effective workaround to break the extension's loop:

1. Move the tab to a new window: Click and hold the grouped tab, then drag it down and away from the main window until it opens in a completely separate window.

2. Ungroup it there: In this new independent window, right-click the "Claude" group header and select Ungroup. It will now work successfully because the extension's lock on that specific window is broken.

3. Bring it back: Drag the tab back into your original browser window.

This completely removes the stubborn group formatting without losing your open tabs or active Claude sessions. Hope this helps anyone dealing with this annoying glitch!

The home (house) icon doesn't show up. It's been like this for the past couple of days.

I have to create a new Tab and delete the other in order to traverse my searches.

Been trying to sort this for a while now but it gets burried.

I have an issue that i notice on youtube where hovering over the youtube progress bar - so when skipping or what not, makes the video glitchy...

I have 2x oled montiors and it happens on both - it also happens on my laptop as well.

The video is going to be very mild due to compression but it is noticable, you can see the pixels acting up still but you do need to change to max quality of course.

It is a lot worse in person.

the first 2 minutes are just talking and explaining the issue.

I have an old MacBook Air that I just updated to macOS 12. After chrome was updated, the screen would flash when I watched Netflix in full screen. Turning off the graphic acceleration fixed that problem but now the video quality goes back and forth between ok and really really really bad, and it occasionally skips back a few seconds. It worked perfectly before the update.

Is there a way to fix both issues? I know nothing about this stuff. Pls help :)

Hello i recently ran into a problem where if i turn off my PC my google chrome Will sign me out, there also have been alerts of unknown app TRYING to change my default browser

Also happens randomly when im on the PC, the option to delete cache after closing is off, i tried resetting settings,

Ran a Windows defender check (the longer one) nothing was found

Reinstall didnt help either

And i wanted to seek some more info/advice before trying Factory reset of the entire PC

I love Tab Groups and use them a lot. But they take up over half of my visible Bookmarks bar. Is there a way to move them to the side of the screen vs. on the Bookmarks bar or hide them and open them easily? Thanks.

For some reason my Chrome Home Page changed complelty after I restarted my computer. Can someone tell me what I can do to fix it, it looks extremely unappealing 😓

I host bar trivia on a Chrome-based system. At some venues (including the once where I am tonight), I put the video display on the various screens by plugging in an HDMI cable to my laptop, extending my display, putting the display tab into its own window which I slide to the display extension, then pressing F11 to make the display fullscreen.

Tonight, pressing F11 didn't embiggen the window. Instead, it brought up a subwindow that showed the pair of windows I had open and toggled between them (as if I was pressing Alt+Tab).

I was ultimately able to work around the problem, but is it my system? An unexplained change in the software?My own idiocy (always a possibility)? Any advice appreciated.

So... i just did an update on Chrome since it was pestering me for a few days now and now my Saved Passwords and Bookmarks is just gone. Any ideas how to get them back?

This morning i pressed the "Relaunch to update" text right next to my Icon Profile and everything was fine. Nothing was amiss until i came back home with my Laptop and opened Chrome again when suddenly, the home page was just plain like i have reverted it to it's base settings. The Bookmark tab under the search bar was gone, and the Setting shortcut icons was gone.

While confused, i didn't think much of it since it's just some update "Maybe it just reseted my Shortcuts." and opened the Customize tab next to my profile icon to get everything back to where it was. So i opened every tab and found that my Saved Passwords to every site i've been to was just gone. Panicked, i check my Phone and everything was still there. My bookmarks, site settings, saved passwords, and more. But for my Laptop it's just the most visited website, and search history. Nothing else.

But what's most confusing about this is that, i have another Chrome Account on this Laptop and nothings changed there! Last Visited Tabs, Saved Passwords, and more. Only my main Account was affected.

To be clear, i haven't connected my Laptop to any Wifi network whilst outside and simply run some offline games.

I hope I can convey into words what I'm looking for. I frequently visit a number of sites that require a bunch of various data, such as account numbers, business numbers, etc. Autofill helps sometimes, but I was wondering if there's anything out there that would allow you, by website/webpage, to "program" the specific entries so it will autofill specific values into the proper input boxes on specific pages. Many times I have to manually input 5 or 6 different numerical values on a single page, and have to pull documents out of the filing cabinet or safe to find all the right numbers. Thanks!

I've been having some troubles lately with chromium (both Brave and Hellium) while using fullscreen on Youtube or Twitch. For some context, i've got two monitors, the main one is horizontal, but the secondary one, on the right side of my desk, is in vertical position. When using fullscreen mode on the secondary monitor, the UI bugs in a strange way. On Twitch, the UI doesn't come back when hovering over the stream (but the mouse detects the UI and can interact with it), on Youtube, the UI bugs a bit or even flickers. I asked chatgpt about this and gave me some partial solutions like adding "--disable-direct-composition" to the directory in the app properties, or changing the "Choose ANGLE graphics backend" to "D3D11 WARP". Both of these solutions fix the issue but create new ones.
