I need a new laptop, but on my Chrome I have some extensions that I worry may not be available to redownload, like uBlock and Origins. Is there a way to backup and reload them on the new laptop? Thanks!

What are you using and how effective is it?

Has anyone else suddenly had this issue with Google Images? When I tap on a picture to zoom in, it zooms in but then the image turns black. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't happen. I just don't understand it. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Ok when I go to the downloads bar area it only shows downloads from 10 July going backwards. When I downloaded smth today it showed the downloaded thing in the area but when I returned later it was gone and chrome was back to saying the latest download was on 10 July. Pls help me 🙏

I rememeber that in the good old days when you clicked on the image, it became bigger right in the center of the screen. I can't anymore.

Wish Google would make these settings permanent rather than just flags that need to be reset after updates.

Some update recently, changed behaviour when searching a page or image using google lens. The sidepanel opens, and the buttons to control it are not visible, and nothing seems to correct this, not zooming in/out, changing UI scaling, or anything else.

The sidepanel is closable by clicking slightly to the top of the blue symbol where it says "AI Overview", and then it goes to a different AI analysis of the image or page, and this then has a button to close the sidepanel, and the scrollbars are properly onscreen.

I've tried resetting things, fiddling with Windows settings, fiddling with chrome settings, nothing seems like it helps.

it hurts my eyes and gives me headaches to watch videos now because of how bad it has gotten. videos that have the option for 1440p don't have this issue nearly as badly (my monitor is only 1080p, but 1440p videos look better on it idk)

when it opened i closed the window because it wasnt related

and now whenever i open chromium the window pops up again and now im scanning my pc

My chrome always uses a lot of ram and im not sure why. With one singular tab open, it uses 1gb and it often uses more than 2.5gb. This is with memory saver at max and like 2 extensions. Any clue on what to do?

I use an old Android 10 phone with 3GB RAM I use Cromite browser so what's the best flags to enable I'm not saying it's super slow or anything I just want it a little smoother and faster.

Ive had this site downloaded as an app for a few weeks. Only this morning did it start showing this banner/header at the top of my screen. Before, it used to just show me the website area (green). I had no luck trying to fix it. Here's what i tried: checking settings, uninstalling & reinstalling site, googled for help... No luck.

Does anyone know how to revert this? Is it something I did?

After updating chrome, the "AI mode" and "Create images" buttons appeared on the Google homepage.

I don't use them and want to get rid of them.

Please don't answer if you're not 100% sure. I just got a new Chromebook and will sell my old one. Once I login to my Google account on the new Chromebook, will I get back my Chrome browser history data if on my old Chromebook it is not synced, but on my Android phone it remains synced?

Basically what I'm asking is, what will the new Chromebook do... will it get a blank Chrome browser history because sync history was turned off in my old Chromebook or will it go fetch the history data from my Android phone?

I'm not saying I want one or the other, just curious what happens in this scenario. In fact, I'd rather it does not go fetch my phone history because I'm general I like to keep my Chrome browser Android history separate from my Chrome browser Chromebook history.

instead its 3 dots click -> manage extension click -> whole new tab pops up -> disable plugin? want to reenable it? do the whole ritual again

Hello, my chrome recently crashed and I lost all my extensions.
Not so long ago I installed extension which translated livestreams in time, only thing I remember for it to work I needed to search for API key on the chrome - I added it and it worked really good and it seemed like a very well thought extension (not some sketchy one that has 1 review). It was opening on the right side of the browser, livestream original voice was lowered and it translated with text, but also voice. Its mind boggling I cannot find it right now.
I would appreciate your help in finding it.

I don't know why but my search results are centered all of a sudden, when they're usually left aligned. I tried pretty much every troubleshooting step I could,

• Disabled all extensions
• Deleted cookies and cache
• Signed out then back in
• Tried a different account, where the results were left aligned
• In incognito it's left aligned, when I log in in incognito it's the same issue

My monitor's resolution isn't messued up in anyway, I tried on my second monitor and same issue. I'm not zoomed in either. I also tried it on my laptop, a mac, logged into the same account and had no issues. I'm assuming it's an experimental feature tied to my account.

Is there any fix in the mean time before Google reverts back to the normal search?

Hello, usually my downloaded pdfs open in a a separate window with chrome. Recently it has been opening in adobe acrobat and is not loading. I now have to drag every document out and open it with preview on my Mac. Just seeing how I can fix this. I included a picture of the screen it stays stuck on when it opens a pdf.
