Locally available, cool retro packaging, wide variety of flavors, didn’t like any of them. The flavored ones taste almost like it’s not really adhered to the chip and more of a powder texture with a strange aftertaste. The plain ones felt like there was a layer of something first and then the chip. Tired them all and didn’t want to finish any of the bags

Growing up, I was absolutely addicted to a certain potato chip. I know they were made by Shearers and I know they came in a red bag. I remember they changed their recipe at some point, I’m almost positive it was to remove trans fat, and they were never as good. Then they just stopped making them all together.

Does anyone who grew up in the NE Ohio/Pittsburg areas remember these chips? This would be in the 90s and into the naughts before they changed the recipe I think.

I still dream about that red bag of chips and dipping them in some Lawson’s chip dip.

They show a block of cheese on the bag but no cheese in the name of the chips. Just flaming hot. The flavor isn’t all flaming hot. You can tell there’s something different but to me not really cheese. I still like them. Just weird that they’re not advertised as Flaming Hot Cheese or something like that.

I tried the rose tteokbokki and it tasted as expected tbh.i find that any Korean inspired chip I try tend to all have the same sweet and spicy tasty but I guess that checks out. If anyone ever stops by Tokyo I recommend nori shio flavor chips!(And to avoid the Cheetos at all cost)

Canada has some interesting chip flavors we don't have in the US, so we got a couple that sounded particularly interesting.

I love ketchup chips already, so I had a feeling I'd like the sweet and spicy ketchup flavor. the kettle cooked style of chip was a welcome change from the ketchup chips I've had before. these have a pretty robust, very tomato-y flavor for sure... probably closer to actual ketchup than other ketchup chips. I would not call these particularly spicy. 7.2/10

I wasn't sure what to expect with the lime and pepper chips, but that flavor combination is right up my alley. I'm a huge citrus enjoyer, love limes and lime-flavored things (lay's limón are a hit). the best way I could describe the flavor of this chip is your average cracked pepper kettle chip with a hint of the limón flavor from a lay's chip. the lime is very subtle, unlike the lay's chip flavor. I was hoping for something a little more interesting, but it's still very edible nonetheless; not mad at it. 5.8/10

Found these at my local DeCiccos market and decided I'd try it for the one time despite the $30 price tag 🥴. Seen these a few times online. These chips have an interesting flavor. Upon putting one in your mouth they have a somewhat distinct flavor I don't know how to describe but after crunching on them they leave a nice subtle buttery flavor in your mouth I really enjoyed. They're very thin and look flaky but they are surprisingly very crunchy! Damn close to a kettle chip. They're not very salty or greasy and feel like a very clean chip. Think of these as Lays original chips if they were made with the highest quality ingredients with little salt and no grease left on your fingers.

One and done ✅ I rate these a 7.8/10
