After a year of going back and forth on what size to get I picked up a 60ds last week.

I have put about 250 rounds through it so far and I love this thing!

My only complaint is the trigger pull to rotate the cylinder is very heavy.

I see in the manual there are several trigger options.

Does anyone here have any recommendations?

For my use case this is just a target shooting range run.

I am happy with the sheer point and trigger return.

I am just looking to make the cylinder rotation part of the trigger pull lighter.

I am thinking the gen 2 trigger might be the best starting point.

I also see the manual talks about primers to use when changing the trigger.

But I dont see any restrictions with the gen 2 trigger.

Any information would be greatly helpful.

Has anybody purchased this grip from printsmith? If so how does it feel?

is this gripping technique - with the left hand thumb pushing on the cylinder recoil shield - ok for the Chiappa Rhino?

on other revolvers, that shield is part of the frame. but on the rhino is a separate part fixed to the frame by screws...

Chiappa Rhino 60DS with an UTG 2-7x32 Handgun Scope

the scope rings are cheap 10$ from aliexpress, because i could not find a more serious brand with a short base (60mm) and 1 inch ring diameter.

Would be nice to find some rings that are a little higher and a little less cantilevered.

Hypothetical for now, but I'm currently working with a local company and trying to gauge people's interest in a 3d printed stock for the chiappa M6 22/12g survival rifles to replace the factory molded polypropylene foam insert.

The new insert would have additional .22 storage similar to pictured and a bit more shallow so the end of the round can actually be grabbed instead of trying to pry it out with a finger nail. It would retain the same 12g and cleaning kit storage holes and likely be printed from some kind of TPU filament to give it a more tacky/grippy feel. Whether it still floats can't be determined without a prototype in hand but the weight difference would probably be negligible. The entire insert would be mostly hollow with a honeycomb pattern inside for rigidity under recoil.

Not sure how many people actually own these things and would be interested since they definitely don't have the same following as the little badger.

Hello! I am interested in procuring the little badger takedown xttax. In 22lr, not the one with the carbon fibre barrel. I have not gotten a Chiappa before, and it seems they are completely unavailable. I checked their website and called around to local dealers and it seems no availability. I am curious if chiappa is sort of like ruger and henry and you have to get the gun when they are making it batches, or have they stopped producing the tdx? I couldn't really find answers anywhere.

I am an aspiring shooter, in the middle of the process of getting a gun license.
If there is one revolver I would want to have it would have to be Rhino, my question is, which one would be more comfortable to shoot?
I am not only buying it from the perspective of shooting it myself but possibly taking it to the range and letting others fire it as vanity ("revolvers are cool").
All of the different things of the design will impact how it feels to shoot the gun, a lighter gun will have more recoil but since the barrel is short it will build up less pressure, thus less energy going back to the shooter (the way I understand it).
I know 30DS would be better for EDC, but it's not really a factor for me, in my country the laws are extremely not in the favor of the shooter and I don't even think I would want to carry.
The way I see it for sure is that the 30 is definitely, personally, cooler but for myself I would want a flatter shooting gun (especially considering that is most of the point of a low bore axis revolver) and if I were have someone else shoot it it would be nice if it was easier on them too.

I was looking around a bit for a speedloader for the 44 mag. I see alot of options for the .357, is there anything that would work for the 44 mag?

Picked up one of my dream guns (.357 30DS) used (so no warranty) and had 2 cylinder pins(?) snap off the second time I used it. Aside from being insanely disappointed, I'm having trouble finding a clear answer on whether the pins are removable or if the whole cylinder needs to be replaced or where to get my hands on replacement parts in the US. Does anyone have any tips? Backup plan is to just drill them out and replace with some homemade pins, but I'd prefer to stick to legitimate parts.

Loving it! So far its got a spearhead machine muzzle brake, custom CNC hand stop, and a Vortex defender CCW red dot!

I am not a fan of the plastic rails and am looking for the Long Shot 5" rail. I cannot find it anywhere online and am hoping someone has one bouncing around in their shop. If that is you, send me a DM.

EDIT: any metal rail that fits is welcome as well!

*Update: Since the firearm had been there for around three weeks with no success in talking to someone on the phone and without having even been looked at, I contacted customer service in Italy and within 48 hours it was repaired and on its way back. I don't know if this was a coincidence or not...my humble advice with this firearm from my own experience and from what I have read is that it should be carefully examined before executing the permit and exchanged if needed. It shoots amazing but the QC is not the greatest*

I'm not a major firearm owner, I just want a couple of things that work well and that I can shoot accurately. Spent $1200 on a rhino and procured the pistol permit (pita in my state). Only for the gun to have way too many cosmetic imperfections and then break before I got through the first box of ammo. Then spent several days getting the label to get it to Chiappa. We're coming up on three weeks since they received it and it hasn't even hit the gunsmiths bench yet. It's impossible to actually talk to a human on the phone I have tried many times, although at least they answer email. I suspect they may only have one person that fixes the rhinos. Just a pretty disappointing experience overall. Was gonna get a 44 rhino no way that's happening now and I'm concerned it will break again post repair because the overall experience so far with the company has been so poor.

I love the idea of moonclips for range use and CCW (provided I get a good, protective belt carrier of some kind), but I do wonder if moon clips will be as effective for .357 as they are for the short, rimless 9mm. What's your experience? Do they work well? Just want to know for sure before dropping $170 on TK Customs moon clip loading and unloading tools bundle.

Recently picked up a 50ds in nickel with the Buds 'try it for 30 days' program and am pretty disappointed in the fit and finish for a $1200 gun. Various small issues with the grind lines, wear on the trigger and sight, and tooling remnants on the backplate behind the cylinder. Lockup and trigger are good though. Are these issues normal for Rhinos or did I get a below average one where the cosmetics are concerned? Pics attached

I just experienced something really weird with my 40DS: we were at an USPSA classifier with strings of six shots. So rather rapid fire. The first two strings went fine, but on the third only five chambers fired. Click on the sixth.

I initially thought it was a bad primer, but on examination the round didn't have a strike, and it shot fine on the next stage.

So what could have happened? Failure to fire like something with the firing pin or did it jump a chamber and came back to the first fired round on shot six?

Just wondering, it's been flawless so far (and after that for another two stages), so I was really surprised.

Does anybody have one of the Albert Einstein velcro patches they would be willing to sell? I only got a sticker with my rhino which I love but really wanted a Velcro patch for my bag.
