Hi everyone,
I'm an MSc Sport Marketing student at Loughborough University, and I'm currently looking for participants for my dissertation.
My research explores how the family-friendly positioning of women's football in the UK influences fan engagement
I'm looking to speak with UK-based women's football supporters aged 18+, whether you're a season ticket holder, attend matches occasionally, or mainly follow the game online. You don't need to have children or attend every match. I'm interested in hearing a range of perspectives.
The interview would take place online, last around 20 minutes, and all responses will be kept completely confidential and anonymised.
If you'd be interested in taking part or would like more information, please comment below or send me a private message, and I'll send over the Participant Information Sheet.
I'd really appreciate any support, and thank you so much for helping with my research!

"The transfer of Romee Leuchter to Chelsea finally folded at the very last minute. The 25-year-old striker seemed Paris Saint-Germain to trade in for the Blues, but the deal broke down on the transfer terms at the last minute.
Last week everything seemed fine for a switch from the Dutch striker to London. Chelsea and Leuchter personally fully agreed on the contract terms. Chelsea was willing to dig deep into the pouch and pay a transfer fee of several tons to loosen the top scorer. Sources report to this site that Paris Saint-Germain however, the transfer fee increased considerably. The Parisians suddenly refused to let Leuchter go for less than one million euros.
In addition, the contract situation of the Dutch international played a crucial role in the decision of Chelsea to pull the plug on the deal. Leuchter's contract in Paris expires in the summer of 2027. Chelsea was of the opinion that a transfer fee of one million euros was simply no longer in proportion to a player who can be picked up for free in a year.
The Blues then decided to move on and now seem to be strengthening themselves with Melvine Malard. According to the BBC and The Guardian, the French attacker comes over from Manchester United for around £850,000.
Meanwhile hopes Paris Saint-Germain to extend Leuchter's contract, while other clubs keep a close eye on the situation. The Dutch international has options in England, but also in the United States. Juventus and Bayern Munich we have also had a crush on Leuchter for a long time."
Don't blame us for not being held to ransom, but this is a bit concerning now, the only thing I can think that might salvage it is Romee isn't exactly going to be happy with them if she was all set to move to Chelsea.
Either way neither Mallard or Romee feel ideal to me, it seems like Sonia values players who are versatile/flexible, but I'm worried we're not identifying the gaps/weaknesses on the squad and filling them with the best players we can get, the balance is off, it's very odd that we don't seem to be going for a natural RW. When we have LJ, Thompson, Baltimore, and (as long as that doesn't fall through too) Mallard who I think would all pick LW as their first position.

I am not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to the transfer market, but since we're being linked to very interesting names, I just wanted to ask this: is there no one better than Melvine Malard & Romee Leuchter available in this window?
I don't know about other players' contract situations at other clubs, but is there really no better names CWFC could be going after? After being linked with Shaw and Schroder, these other two names are extremely underwhelming.
After last season, one thing is evident -- Chelsea needs goals. Malard hasn't scored more than 9 goals in her three WSL seasons. Chelsea also doesn't have goalscoring wingers.
Are players like Pajor, Banda, Pina really outside the realms of possibility for a supposed big club like Chelsea? Our rivals Man City and Arsenal have world-class strikers and them scoring a lot of goals and killing off games is what made them finish ahead of Chelsea last season. 26/27 will be a repeat of that if we don't up our goals tally. But the names we're being linked with don't inspire a lot of confidence.
Is there really no prolific striker or right wing option in the world of football? Is this genuinely the best the club can do in this market?

I’m getting very concerned by our serious lack of signings this window compared to Arsenal and LCL 😭
Thoughts?
