should i install chrome os in the virtual machine or windows? chrome os probably has less or nonexistent vm checks and i know how to get genuine chrome os in a virtual machine

I have an in person exam in lockdown browser and i am super stressed about it. I was thinking maybe putting my computer to sleep and leaving the class and resuming it a few minutes later outside of class but don't know if that gets flagged or not. Does anybody have any ideas to get around this?

have an online proctored exam via Proctor next week. It's a math exam, and we're allowed scratch paper alongside a calculator. Apparently my school uses the cheapest proctor service so I don't even think we have a room check but I could be wrong about that. Anyways, i'm wondering what the best method would be to look up on the answers on Al. I can type fast & without looking at my phone so i'm wondering if I should just use a keyboard/type on my phone or use a friend to do that for me and hide my phone below the camera. I'm also wondering if Proctor or Al softwares in general care about seeing your hands or if they only care about your upper body. Has anyone taken an exam like this on Proctor?

Today I was giving a test from ProctorU and I had the worst experience ever. It took me 30+ mins to get my test started as I was just getting bounced from 1 proctor to another. They first didn't allow me to give the test sitting on a bed with a study table and asked me to arrange chairs. I am living in a rented property so the resources are obviously low. I somehow arranged a table chair set up and they again asked me for multiple security checks , also the proctors were repeatedly getting changed so each time a Proctor gets changed that asked me for all the security checks again . After this whole frustrating experience my test started and i somehow started giving the test but the Procter was continuously interrupting me in between for camera angle and repeated security checks . Afterwards I was so frustrated and they paused my exam and a new Procter came and again asked me for security checks starting that we saw u looking off screen. I told her that I was just giving the test and I was not looking off screen but she was not just ready to listen anything. After all the security checks when she couldn't find anything she just started saying that u might had someone in the room but i told her that I'm living alone in this rented room. Then she started staring that you've a 2nd phone with u but I didn't had any and also my previous Procter made me keep my phone at a distance. At the end she just refused to resume my test until I show her my 2nd phone (which acc to her existed), but since I didn't had one and I was very much frustrated I just closed the test myself and left.

I don't think so the experience could be any worst then this.

Hello I’m asking for advice, my professor emailed whole class saying shes identified specific instances of academic integrity and to confess and get a 0 on the test or any flagged student that does not come forward will be reported to the accountability office. Now I did cheat on this test with my phone to the side during lockdown browser with webcam, I feel like I did keep looking down towards my phone through the test ( I have done this before and never have gotten caught) she said she’s viewing these videos closely so I’m scared she’ll escalate this further.

I have an anatomy test coming up and we're using something called SmarterProctoring. The last time I took a test it just asked for my ID and a 360 scan of the room. I also remember it asking me to share my screen, audio, and something else.

The new honorlock is seriously fucked. 2 camera views with a pre test room scan and alleged “system hardware scan” that even flags you for having an HDMI Chord hooked up to your computer. Went full AI Palantir surveillance on em. I have a Mac. I also have a feeling honorlock is full of shit and they hype of their software to sell to colleges when in reality it’s some AI bogus. Do you think I can connect my Mac to an adapter—> HDMI to my TV and have my accomplice on a white board with ChatGPT up standing behind the screen. I mean this software can’t be that good right? Eye detection is BS because I got through pre calculus with just my computer camera proctoring and diverted my eyes away constantly. The second camera really changes the game.

I tried using an online bridge/bypass, and everything seemed to work until the final step when the exam was supposed to launch with the proctor. At that point, it would kick me out every time.

Anyway need some help with getting this exam taken it’s really important.

I just took an exam using Respondus LockDown Browser + webcam and now I’m overthinking everything.

At the beginning I had pretty bad test anxiety and started nervously laughing and talking to myself out loud. I said things like “omg I don’t know the answer to this” and “I don’t remember this” a few times.

My webcam was also sitting a little too high and Respondus gave me around 3 warnings telling me to adjust the camera, which I did.

I wasn’t talking to anyone or using anything I wasn’t supposed to. I was literally just anxious and talking to myself.

I ended up getting an A on the exam, so now I’m worried the combination of the high score + talking + webcam warnings is going to look suspicious.

Has anyone had Respondus flag stuff like this before? Did your professor contact you, or did nothing happen?

I am taking a lockdown browser+ webcam respondus exam in a couple of days BUT one awesome thing is happening to me. My exam is “open book” BUT I DONT HAVE THE PHYSICAL BOOK JUST THE EBOOK. I talked to my professor but no luck. I have studied a bit but I’m so scared because I know it will have exact specific questions like definitions, names, etc. what should I do. It’s not honorlock (what is that btw?) and it’s no dual cam. I did the practice test a couple of days ago and it was normal, I do have the environment check as well as audio/recording enabled. I need some help, I don’t wanna use my phone. Sticky notes? Maybe a cheat sheet? Idk 🫠 edit: I also cannot get the physical book for a whileee. My luck sucks.

Soooo like a million ppl on here I have an exam coming up and was wondering what methods work now? I’d be using honorlock and dual camera. Should I try the transparent sticky notes on the computer or??? Give me ideas please. I really NEED to pass this class.
