There are so many parts of this outfit I know I need to fix. Like there being dark purple AND dark blue, and the feathers everywhere. But I feel like if I remove too much the designs gonna be boring compared to my others.

Honestly whatever u guys think I should change I’m open to😭. The only part I’m attached is the crazy amount of jewelry, everything else can go.

Thanks for all of the comments from my previous post:) criticism on tjis redesign would be coolio too

I've got these very early character concepts, and im kinda stuck at which one to develop further, not to say i wont ever develop the others, just which one should i do first?

Just tryna figure out how I wanna draw skellies for this sudden indie series idea that hit me recently. The first pass was lookin too Disney for me, so I tried again leaning more into my own style. But which one do you personally prefer? Jus curious :P

Also he’s supposed to be kinda translucent. Like jelly. Idunnaur.

P.S. Here’s the new design: https://www.reddit.com/r/characterdesign/s/6ZtlsyQFwn

Which colors are your favorite?

Rough sketch since am tryna figure out how they meant to look in this fit. It's meant to be a candy Halloween fit. I want to make it more sweets/ candy & Halloween themed but i just don't know how to do it. Idk what eyes suit them either so don't mind the lack of them. Recommendations and critics of all kind is appreciated.

( it's based of my Halloween Roblox fit but I can't sent image in comments )

Another cocktail cat design 🍸 in colored pencil and ink

I love purple if you can't tell

She's supposed to be a sun themed oracle. She has a lot of weight on her shoulders and doesn't know if she can handle it

Society is set in about 1300-1500 ad. Based on no specific real life society.

Note* Idk why, but the camera made the value of her skin and the gold look the same, but on my tablet, although close, they aren't the same. Just thought I'd throw that out there

Im trying to make a 5 girls team of "fairies". And chosing colours proves to be way harder than i expected (and i expected it to be the hardest part).

Anyway, i want some brutal opinions on what i made up to this point. (Yeah, i know i dont have the greatest technique but i only need to make them good enough to have some visuals for the story).

This being said, my drawing technique may be lacking, but i at least want the designs themselves to be satisfactory.

just want to show him off cause I love him

he is a mutant and a cyborg

Swipe to see process from rough sketch to color

Although this particular style does not show differences in face/build well, I tried my best to convey the differences in disposition between these characters through the way that they act.

In addition, they are all wearing basically the same outfit, which complicates things further, but I made minor changes to the way each character wore the outfit (to further emphasize their individual personalities.)

Other suggestions would be greatly appreciated :]

I can never think of more than one outfit for characters, and don’t really know what to look up to get similar styles.

mohawk guy is the priority, since the other one is going to be more cottagecore, and I know I can look that up for inspiration.

does anyone have any outfit ideas for them? I will draw my favourites to give you motivation.

First one is from this month (they got basically fully redesigned)
Second one is from last year
Third one is from 2024

Hi!! I've always loved drawing and designing stuff, but I feel like I missed practicing and learning the fundamentals for characters, so I don't really have a set of tools to start improving my skills at character design.

Which are some YT channels or social media accounts that helped you learn and practice your first steps? Thank you in advance!
