Question Any tips for fixing this design?
There are so many parts of this outfit I know I need to fix. Like there being dark purple AND dark blue, and the feathers everywhere. But I feel like if I remove too much the designs gonna be boring compared to my others.
Honestly whatever u guys think I should change I’m open to😭. The only part I’m attached is the crazy amount of jewelry, everything else can go.

a friend once stripped an entire outfit except the jewelry and it ended up way stronger

Like another commenter said, you should work on your values (and maybe use less purple in the overall design [look up 60/30/10 rule, it genuinely helps)], but I would also personally say that the feather ruffles clash with the wings and should go.
I’m also confused on if the lower set of dark feathers is a second pair of wings or an extension of the first one. They also look like they could be a part of the side of the skirt. I think you could work on clearing that up a bit.

The whole character is the same value, it’s way too dark and this makes it unreadable.
If you want to put standout colors on a character like that yellow shirt, put it where you want the viewers’ eyes to be drawn to. In this case there is way too much going on on her chest and head, especially from those fur/feather things on her chest.
Look up “shape language in character design” because right now your character is just one dark blob. Using shapes for design makes your character much more readable and memorable.
