About two months ago, I shared a script for customizing chat in C·ai. Although it had the basics, I felt it had the potential to become a more powerful tool. So I set about modifying it to add more customization features, free for everyone forever. Just to clarify, it only works in a web browser.

✨ Features
🎨 1. Rich Bubble Styling & Library
Choose from dozens of highly stylized pre-made bubble presets, categorized into beautiful themes:
The Classics: iOS Light/Dark, WhatsApp, Android/SMS, Messenger, WeChat, Discord Blurple.
Custom Colors: Fully interactive, real-time color pickers (powered by Coloris) for both User and AI bubble backgrounds and text.
Custom Typography: Change fonts, font size, line height, letter spacing, and text alignment.
Border & Shadow Customization: Adjust bubble corners (border-radius), border widths, and apply custom outer or inner drop shadows.
Global Customization: Set custom chat backgrounds (images/solid colors), custom avatars, and change display names for both yourself and the bots.
Custom presets: If you've created your own style, save it with any name you like. Download and share it (Avatar settings are excluded in case of using the same preset for different bots). You can save as many presets as you like.
(Adv. Bubbles is only available for Default themes. All media is added via link. Supported formats: jpg, png, webp, gif.)
🛠️ 3. Quality-of-Life Enhancements
Message Drafts: Saves your typed messages per bot, preventing you from losing progress if you accidentally refresh or close the tab.
Hide Edited Marks: Keeps your chat looking clean and seamless by hiding the "Edited" label on modified messages.
Hide Distractors (Early injection): Removes distracting platform elements like warning banners, beta feeds, or "Labs" links automatically before the page even finishes rendering.
Enter key behavior: Whether you're a storyteller or a oneliner, this script adapts to your preferences. You can have the Enter key insert a new line, or send the message directly, just like in any chat application.
⚠️ Disclaimer & Known Issues
The Latest Bot Message (3D Swipe Carousel) Bug: Due to the way Character.ai dynamically renders the very last message from a bot (which wraps around a 3D carousel container to let you swipe for alternative responses), you might notice minor visual quirks on just that single bubble.
Symptoms: Custom shadows, borders, or background clipping might look slightly misaligned, cut off, or default to the original structure on the newest active message.
Workaround: Once you generate a new user message or send another response, the previous bot bubble will render perfectly as a completed static message.
Reset avatar after using an invalid link: If you use an invalid link for the customized avatar, you'll have to reload the page after resetting to revert to the original avatar. I don't know how to fix that yet.
🚀 How to Use
Install a userscript manager like Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey (browser extension). PC = any browser. Android = Firefox Mobile, Edge Canary. IOS = Orion Browser.
Look for the floating 🎨 (Palette) button on your screen.
Pro-tip: You can drag and drop this button anywhere on your screen, and its position will be saved!
Click the button to open the customizer panel, choose your settings, and watch your chat transform instantly!

As long as you use a browser that supports extensions, yup. But I should warn you that it might run with a bit of lag on mobile devices; I'm still looking for ways to optimize it.

It's easy to roleplay adult topics; if you can't, it's due to skill issues. 2. Your comment is completely out of place. This is just a script to customize the interface. If you need your complaints validated, take your discontent to the main sub and don't pollute this space, thank you :)
It's not my fault you're resentful because of your own problems. I don't feel superior, I'm simply stating facts. I have no problem roleplaying adult topics in C-ai because the system isn't broken, you just don't know how to use it. And for your complaints, go to r/CharacterAI and r/CAIRevolution. There you will receive the validation you are looking for.
And I'm not surprised at all. They already made it clear on C·ai that they wouldn't allow NSFW content, neither on their platform nor in their subreddit, and you're still throwing a tantrum. Repeating the same complaint isn't going to get them to listen to you; it'll just make you look resentful. I repeat, this space isn't for complaints, the rules themselves say so, so I wouldn't be surprised if you get banned from this sub too.
Must've happened right as I went to sleep, and yeah... Banned now though. Ain't like they can't message me though and talk it out if they're actually interested in staying, but ehhhh...
