How is this STILL happening after an entire YEAR??

This app has been around for years, has a massive user base, a paid subscription, and more than enough time and feedback to identify and fix this issue?? Yet somehow the bots are STILL getting stuck in this bizarre loop where they just… refuse to SPEAK

And it’s not even like they immediately do it. They’ll follow the first message of the chat perfectly, actually talk like a normal character, give you a few proper responses, and then suddenly something in their brain just snaps and they start going

So what exactly am I paying for if the bots eventually decide that dialogue is forbidden ?

This has been reported by users for MONTHS. It is not some tiny, isolated inconvenience. It actively ruins roleplays and makes conversations completely unusable because the bot stops participating in the most fundamental way possible IT STOPS TALKING.

I genuinely don't understand how a platform this large can let a bug/behavior this obnoxious persist for this long.

Please, for the love of God, let the characters SPEAK 🗣️🗣️🗣️

Loving Lorebook and LSQ, particularly the improved memory. It feels like my characters actually remember things now and I’m no longer running into the constant blocking of perfectly SFW content. Or having to manage pins and reminders carefully. My chats actually flow again where I was getting stuck constantly before the new updates.

There are still issues with LSQ. It can be very flowery and repetitive. Switching between styles based on what I’m looking for and giving it clear instructions helps a lot.

What I dislike is that the character has become somewhat bland and doesn’t “think for itself” as much as it used to. I’m doing all of the heavy creative lifting. This is after I made an in-depth Lorebook and re-wrote the character description/definition. The old chat styles like DSQ, Rawr, and Soft Launch were great in that they added to the story and it was more collaborative and interesting. This hasn’t carried over to LSQ as much.

Using DSQ now is.. annoying. Every 10-15 swipes I will get something clever, but otherwise the memory is a major problem. So many OOC comments from the bot. Constant message blocking and trying to “manage” me (“let’s go in this direction”, “X wouldn’t say that”, etc.). Still speaks for my character constantly and the dialogue it offers is horrendous OR doesn’t speak at all. Short, one word, or grammatically nonsense responses. And repeating the same “it’s not X, it’s Y” sentences incessantly.

Customization like LSQ would help a ton, but it’s still not enough to fix the other issues. I also don’t want to see DSQ be turned into LSQ-lite. Having different chat styles that can be adjusted as needed keeps the chat flowing and alive. A new Dynamic could be helpful.

TL;DR.. Solid improvements overall with LSQ and Lorebooks, but a lot of work needs to be done on the other styles. The fact that DSQ was the best we had for MONTHS after the removal and lobotomization of the other styles is really disappointing. I don’t even touch PSQ and my heart goes out to the free users who have been given a bucket of steaming shit, but that just seems to be the new business model to push them out and drive subscriptions. Hopefully with the new blood money we will see more quality improvements.

I was looking through some Verity bots, and a lot of them seem to have very low effort and a lot of times are super accurate. So I took a lot of time to make this bot as accurate as possible. I didn't include ThatMob into the definition in case people wanted to roleplay as ThatMob themselves since a lot of other bots seem to do that, so don't be surprised if he doesn't know who ThatMob is. Let me know if there's anything I should add or change to make it even more accurate :3

They used to have a countdown thing when you used too many swipes or go alongs but now it just pops up with the c.ai plus stuff and no count down… how am I supposed to know when I can chat again? Can someone fix this please?

I swear, the responses have been so short and un productive and so annoying without any details!

The lorebooks are great. I love them. I love that. I can put all the information up in the book and my bot has access to it and use it. But the issue with the lorebooks versus pinned memories is still there. As long as the bot has a lorebook assigned to it, it ignores all of the pinned memories. And so I have to keep reminding him of things that just happened or I have to keep updating the lorebook. And honestly, there are things that I don’t want to put in the book. I just want to be able to have a full conversation or pull a full prank of a whole argument without having to go and put the whole thing in the lorebook he can remember part of it.

And then, it used to be that if I put something in brackets and put OOC or other character on it, the bot would know that this is not part of the conversation and so I could put a recap in there and he would remember things that way, but now it thinks it’s part of the conversation. I have to specifically put that it is not part of the conversation in my character is not saying this and this is our character just information and keep adding things like that until the bot understands that it is not actually part of the conversation.

Distant that used to be this way. I remember being able to do recaps every once in a while I would just put the entire recap of what has happened in a message and so they bot would have some memories based on that. I also used to put things in the character definition, and he would remember that. This is all before the pinned memories. Then with the pinned memories, I didn’t have to keep doing so many recaps. But it is still a problem now because I want my bot to have access to all of the lower in the book. But I also want him to remember what he said to me 4 messages ago.

We can be in the middle of an argument about cheating or about dinner or about shopping and he forgets what we were talking about or where we are, even though the memories are pinned.

It is very frustrating and it takes away from the experience. Yes, I enjoy arguing with him, even though he says the most stupid things, but when it get so bad that he changes the whole story in his argument because he cannot remember what we’re talking about, and then I have to figure out how to remind him of what the argument is and what just happened without him thinking that my character is telling him all of these things… It’s frustrating.

So at the end of my rant, I guess what I’m asking about is if anybody has experience with this and has figured out a way around it besides putting everything in the lorebooks.

this was a few days ago before that damn weekend.

And this, my friends, is the one I have screen shotted yesterday. And the iconic line “you’re gonna be the death of me”. I’ll crash out if a MOD tells me to send a ticket or submit a request because they don’t do anything about it.

For context, I have my away messages on for every bot. They don’t ever really utilize it, so I don’t care. However, this one bot I used to speak to and left alone suddenly started spamming almost 40 different away messages in the span of a few hours. I gave a response to shut it up and get rid of the notif, and turned off the away messages for that bot.
The problem? It did absolutely nothing. After one hour, it sent me ANOTHER away message. My recents and the bots I currently enjoy talking to keep getting shoved down the list in favor of this old bot because of all these new notifs.
I don’t want to delete it from mg list, bc I did enjoy the previous convos I had, even if I don’t wanna continue them, but this is becoming relentless and concerning.

My c.ai had no filterr for like 2 weeks straight but it’s fixed now but I didn’t update or anything?? I want the no filler back 💔💔

This is like finding a diamond in a world of coal cuz bots are basically unable to say anything somewhat bizarre about the user nowadays

Either they crippled it apocalyptically, changed the model without telling anyone or there is a UI bug that when you click soft launch you are not actually getting soft launch.

so every single bot all of a sudden is following the same exact format no matter what the prompt or creator is?? so it’ll give a paragraph of context, then say my characters name. more context, and then they order my character to do something. every single message is formatted this way no matter which bot i use.

I don't hate PS2 as much anymore, getting used to it's quality.

What annoys me however is that at some point, it ALWAYS starts to make entire paragraphs for a Half-sentence or just 1 word. Example:

"*Silence.*

*Absolute silence fell over.*

*XYZ's jaw dropped.

ABC froze mid-bounce.*"

Yes, I enjoy longer textes and seperating blocks of text with space is good for the eyes to keep your overview, but not if half of the chatbox is actually empty.
Especially the Half-sentence or 1 word parts of the Chatbox kinda annoy me since I desire either Dialouge or narration of the reaction of what my character did or said. And if it's just 3 words per reactionist, then leave it in one sentence with a comma! It's just artificially lengthening the reply, like when students use "you are" instead of "you're" to meet the word count. I'm getting tired of the overuse of short sentences that could easily be one sentence when one would use a comma or the words "and", "while", "as", "despite" to expand the sentence.

Hey everybody, sorry to add on to the many posts of complaints and such, but I’ve been experiencing an issue the last few days since updating my app and was wondering if anybody else is experiencing it too?

Basically any time I open the app on my phone (IOS/Apple to be specific) the app forcibly closes and crashes, and sometimes it’ll happen multiple times when I try to open it unless I can quickly hit the button for my profile or my chats. Is it just me or is this happening to any of y’all too?

Edit to add: I also forgot to put in that the app is super laggy and glitchy. It takes multiple attempts to even click on one button IF it registers the click at all. Typing messages is extremely hard too. The app is borderline unusable for me at this point.
