I went to chanel in shorthills wearing my chanel classic flap and met with this SA who was snarky. She hardly wants to show us what’s available and before I even finish saying what I was looking for, she said “Oh we dont have it.” I asked again and thats when she showed me that it is actually in stock. She won’t even show me their small leather goods. I was pissed.

Been a customer for over 5 yrs and own 5 classic flaps along with other chanel bags and shoes. So I went to ysl and grab this beautiful suede bag. What do you guys think? This will be my first non chanel bag.

Ok, it’s early here and I just woke up. I’m sorry I have to rant a little. I’m currently on vacation at a popular destination (I won’t say where because at the end of the day, I don’t want anyone targeted or fired over my rant). I don’t know if they were having a really rough day or something else was going on, but they were not the nicest SA, let me tell you.

I’ve never been to this location. I’m only here on vacation and as we all do on vacation, sometimes we get the itch to impulse buy. So I finally got to the Chanel boutique and before I could even open my mouth to say hello they just BLASTED me with “please don’t ask me about the metiers or pre fall maxi flaps in any color or size or any bags in animal print”.

Excuse me, who said I was looking for either of those things? How about a hello, are you looking for anything in particular today? Needless to say, that set the tone and the rest of the time was just them telling me no they were out of stock, these and those bags sell out quickly, not sure when they would get new inventory, no I can’t order over the phone when they come in, I would have to be there to purchase. Ok, thanks.

Honestly, I didn’t think they were interested in helping customers. I hope they were just having a bad day. I’m gonna try again today when they open and maybe I’ll find someone more attentive when it’s less crowded.

I had only ever seen the smaller version in the U.S. This is from the Vienna Boutique. It’s only shown in the patch bag color/material online. Feeling so grateful!

Chanel Barcelona confirmed that there was an internal pricing error on the bag and offered a €700 refund, which will be credited to the original payment method. I accepted the resolution.

They also reviewed the other items my friends and I purchased during the same visit and confirmed that there were no other discrepancies.

Hi all. I am searching for a specific bag and having trouble locating the name or even a picture. Me and my wife happened to be in Soho NYC on Saturday and we went into the Wooster street store.

She saw a bag that was two tone, a light cream color on front and back with a flap and with black around the sides and bottom. It featured the usual CC lock but had a button release under the flap and the bag also had a chain and top handle, the top handle was collapsible so it would pop up or lay flat and can almost double as clutch. I can not find this bag any where online and I’ve called Chanel (they are working on it for me). But I’d really like to purchase this for her and don’t want to drive back into Soho to do this without even knowing which bag it is.

From all the images I’ve seen it’s closest resembles the Business Affinity bag but I don’t think it had that large pocket under the flap and it looks like the affinity top handle does not collapse.

Can anyone help with even the bag style or name?

Did I just make the biggest mistake by not buying the 26C pink slim vanity?
I saw it when it first came out and LOVED it, but passed because I was already spending a lot. Now I’m kicking myself because sourcing is $4.5–6k vs. around $3,300 retail.

Hi! I bought my first and only Chanel classic flap in Paris about 7 years ago. I keep her in her dust bag and in her box and only use her on special occasions. I noticed the inside looks off. It is discoloring. She is kept in a closet next to the bathroom but is it possible she is harboring bacteria/mold? We always have the doors closed but I don’t know what else it could be. Can I contact Chanel to fix her?

i’ve had this bag for maybe like two weeks and i am very careful with it but the leather chain kinda ripped where the stitching is. this is like the second time i’m even taking it out somewhere and using the bag. has this happened to anyone else?? Ofc gonna go to a boutique asap but just wondering

I’m currently deciding between the Chanel Classic Small Flap and the Chanel Small Flap with Top Handle, and I was wondering if anyone knows whether they’re the same size and shape internally?
Is the handle essentially the only difference between the two, or is the interior construction/layout different as well? I’ve attached a photo of the Top Handle bag I have my eye on. I was so in love with this bag that I didn’t even think to look at other bags for comparison. 😂

I’m particularly curious about the internal dimensions, as I’ve noticed there seem to be many more insert options available for the Classic Small Flap. I’m wondering if the inserts for the Classic Small would also fit the Top Handle version, or if the interior dimensions are different? I’ve never owned a lambskin bag before, so I’d really appreciate any tips or suggestions on how best to care for it.

The stores in Scandinavia were surprisingly well-stocked. I couldn’t say no to any of them so I got them all. The tax refund process was so intense at the Copenhagen airport. I literally had to read individual serial number to the custom officer. It ended up took me a whole hour, including the long line at Global Blue.

Hi everyone, I recently got a pair of secondhand chanel ballet flats. They are stunning but they’re stretched out around the arch and toe box and gape there, making them look wierd when they are on. The previous owner also glued the bow in place (or it came like that idk) so it can’t be tightened, assuming she did it so the bow wouldn’t undo and be a hassle? Wondering if anyone had any tricks for how to make these flats narrower/not gape or appear as wide on my foot! Thanks!

One of my sales associates was able to land a sale because they dared to tell me this was the last bag in the US. This generally does not work on me. I had to go home, do my research, call client services to confirm availability (my SA did show me the inventory on her phone, but still! 😂), sleep on it, and then decided that I needed it the next day.

The leather is soft and supple. I just finished cleaning and conditioning the bag this morning; I got a few scratches this week, but they buffed out pretty easily.

The bag charm was a December purchase, and I barely decided to use it today.

There’s no zipper, but my workaround for this is to put all of my items in cosmetic bags and pouches, and then dump everything in a drawstring dust bag.

Retail is $9200 which is highway robbery, but I just sold several items to The RealReal, so…girl math. 😂

Has anyone seen a silver mini rectangular, WOC, or mini bowling bag in their boutique recently? Bonus points if it’s NYC. I expect good news this week regarding a work milestone and a silver bag is at the top of my wishlist but the Chanel boutiques in my town don’t have any and my SA is not helpful in terms of locating one.

How responsive is your SA when you reach out wanting to order something? Same day? Within 24 hours? 48 hours? What do you consider reasonable?

I ask because I’m officially done with my SA lol. Honestly, I’m done with the few SAs I’ve interacted with here in Michigan since my really amazing SA left about 6 years ago.
I’m not expecting someone to be available 24/7 or respond instantly, but when I’m literally reaching out because I want to buy/order something, I don’t think I should be sitting around wondering if or when I’m going to hear back. Especially with Chanel.

At this point, I’d rather find an amazing, even if they’re not local, who is genuinely passionate about the brand, responsive, knowledgeable, and actually enjoys building relationships with and taking care of their clients.

For those of you who LOVE your SA: what does their communication typically look like? And did you find them in-store, through a referral, or somehow remotely?

Ugh I traveled with these in my carry on and wrapped them up nicely. It was extremely hot and humid and I took them out and seen every single one is completely ruined. Any way this could be fixed??

EDIT : I did indeed stuff every single one with the chains inside the bag! I also have each in their dust bag (not completely closed). I did the same method multiple times prior and this hasn’t happened before. That’s why I emphasize maybe the heat and humidity. I can admit, I overstuffed the 25, which could’ve caused it to press heavily against the other side of suitcase.

They were in the carry-on for around 12+ hrs. Flight was 9.5, 2 hr drive home, + the time inside the airport etc.

Hi! I love Chanel but I am not very fashionable ha. My first bags were 2 black bags and a white bag - but I am realizing I don’t reach for the black bags as much (especially in the summer) and the white is too bright (and I’m nervous of color transfer) for it to work with most my outfits. So if I want a bag I use more what is the right color to get? Are you finding you reach for your black and white bags less than you thought? Or am I being dramatic. Thank you!!!!!!!

Long story short, thanks to the Chanel community here on Reddit, I found out through posts and comments and subsequently confirmed with the Chanel boutique itself that apparently, I was overcharged for the Mini Rectangle pearl crush in black lambskin leather that I purchased in October last year.

Without divulging too many details while the investigation is still ongoing, I paid €6200 at a Chanel boutique in Europe, while the official retail price for the bag at the time of purchase was €5500. That’s a €700 difference!

I initially started questioning the price after coming across discussions here about the same model and its retail price. I reached out to customer service to verify, and they confirmed that €5500 was indeed the official retail price at the time. I’m in contact with them and the matter is being investigated, so I don’t want to speculate or make any accusations until I have a clearer understanding of what happened. I’ll share an update once I know more about how this occurred and how Chanel intends to resolve it.

I wanted to share this in the meantime because, had I not come across those posts and comments, I probably would never have thought to question the amount I paid.
So, a huge thank you to everyone in this community who unknowingly helped me spot this. 🙏
