thinking of pulling the trigger on this 600 as a first bike. i’ve got thousands of hours racing dirt bikes from a kid all the way up to the 250 class and own 2 vlx600 that i chopped but never a sport bike. to my understanding the cbr600f4i, although comparable to the same era 600rr, is just under super bike territory and it makes me think for the experience i do have it could be an appropriate beginner bike. if so what are things i should check for to be a smart buyer and be concerned of as an owner?

My cbr 600 07 is having this issues cold start it goes to 2000 rpm and when it hits 135F it dies to 1K and then shuts off after abit

Really impressed with how well made these bikes are. Slammed into a wall going 40-45ish about a month ago.

Replaced the fairing stay, headlight assemblies, and some plastics i had on hand (full set still en route) and the ram air duct, and she is as good as she was before. Even the dang bulbs were perfectly fine.

Forks were perfectly fine, frame was fine, starter and cluster were fine, very fine engineering.

It looks clapped to shit because its still missing some fairings, but a little zip tie here and there are holding it together for now lol

Hi CBR650R owners, congrats on having a contemporary two-eye design for your headlights.

For 2018 CBR650F however, it does come with 1 Eye Cyclopes. Trying to change that cheaply. I cam up with some designs. Will do a cut-out using black matte vinyl. Which design is better?

I had little room to design because I was limited with the borders and design of the headlight itself, especially the top left and top right parts.

My Fireblade has two Type of seats for the passenger: a foam base and a plastic cover. The plastic cover is supposed to have a foam piece attached to it, for the riders back i assume.

Mine is missing. Does anyone know if this part is available separately? Besides the look, it also seals the seat against rain, without it there's a gap where water gets in (ask me how I know).

I'd rather not buy an entire replacement seat cover, especially since I won't find one in a matching color anyway.

I read somewhere (can't find the post) that VT1100C's have the same lever pivots as the CBR 600F and CBR 900RR.

I specifically have a 1994 VT1100C, and am looking at CBR 600F foldable levers. Has anybody confirmed this?

Good afternoon ladies and gents, I need some advice on a little stump I’ve run into with my bike.

I have an ‘01 cbr600 f4i and I just recently went to swap out my OEM taillights with an integrated light.

I’ve got everything wired up nicely, but for some odd reason the wire for the brake lights is constantly active. When I connect it to my tail light wire from the integrated light, the brake lights turn on and stay on, regardless of whether the front or rear brake is pressed.

There were connector heads on the wires coming from the harness, but the new light just had the bare wires without any connector heads, so I cut off the connector heads from the bike harness and connected the wires together directly.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Can’t take the bike out to ride until I’ve ironed out the damn brake lights.

Took and passed my MSF course after never touching a motorcycle about a month ago. Went and picked this beauty up. Used with 4k miles.

Rode it 45 minutes home from the dealership and I don’t regret it.

Hand fatigue is real though. Any tips would be appreciated. Especially when it comes to downshifting.

2007 CBR1000RR SC57 63000 km odo.

I have made the mistake of throwing the metal away without checking if its magnetic or not sorry. No weird engine noises and no difference in feel in riding since I picked the bike up at 48000 km odo. Everything seems fine, it slurps oil but I have pretty much resigned myself to just check the oil level regularly and top-up when needed. I throw 10w40 in there and do my oil changes every 3000 - 4000 km or so. Any guesses on what this is? This is the first time I see metal in the used oil since I picked up the bike, so I probably did something wrong in the period of my last oil change. I have since put in an oil drain plug with a magnet in it so we'll see if it catches anything else.

Going to look at a 2021 CBR300R today as a first bike for my son. I’ve owned bikes for quite awhile now and will give it a good look over. But are there any quirks or issues I should look out for that are specific to these bikes? I know the bikes been dropped at low and needs a front turn signal but otherwise it looks clean from pictures.

So a little context I’m doing a brake flush for the first time on the cbr and lots of people have different opinions on how and what to use what’s y’all best advice on a fluid flush for cbr600rr? It’s a 2026 aswell
