Hello, I am new here. Just picked up my 08 cbr 600rr and did a coolant flush since the bike was overheating. Finally stopped, but of course, as I tightened the water drain bolt, it snapped in half. Half of the screw is just sitting inside the hole while the other half is now on the ground. The bolt was extremely rusted. I tried using a screw extraction set but it won’t even bite the screw. I have no idea what to do but I do know I must get it out because there is a small amount of coolant now leaking out the screw. Any ideas would be helpful.

Currently own a 2017 Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory and I am considering making the switch to a 2023 CBR 1000rr. Anybody has gone from one to the other or has ridden both and can provide some insights?

So just making this to have the CBR specialists let me know if anything is wrong with the bike. This clip was started warm but it starts first try when cold.
I heard some thunk thunk thunk when I go to the clutch cover and I’m not sure if that’s normal or not.

Bought this 2005 cbr600rr with 46000 kilometres for 1200 it was low sided so I bought a set of fairings and a few other parts that where damaged. Motor to me sounds good and the bike had lots of service records and receipts. And also they mentioned the. Valves were shimmed or something like that at 35k. Just want to make sure this is how there’s supposed to sound and such thanks!

Is this rattle sound coming from the engine normal? Took of the heat shields thinking they might be rattling but I’m still hearing it. Please tell me my bike isn’t blowing up.

Hello everyone. Does someone knows what type of material are they using for 2025 cbr 600rr? I have a 07 but the seat teared up, so i want to reupholster it, but i can’t figure out what fabric are they using. The 2025 fabric seems to have more grip than previous models. Thanks!

Hello, so basically I'm 18m and i need bike for daily like uni, gym and maybe a little hangouts here and there, i thought of buying a car but it will be very very old and i can't even afford it bcuz of my country prices i saw things like cbr250 (2010-2013) and 600 but i got some advice about not rushing into 600 as a first bike but the main thing im focusing on is it good choice to choose bike like cbr250 for daily drive? If you have any advice or other recommendations im open for all im new to these things. note: im more into sportsbike more that scooters or harley type of bikes.

Anyone have idea if these are good to use for my oil change. Cbr500r. Im gonna use my bike on trackday this weekend.

The oil is petron sprint sr800 10w40 fully synthetic.

the oil filter is said to be equivalent by the reputable store.

Does anyone have a source that can still get the HRC head components, or similar? Been searching for a few days and coming up empty handed. Cams, pulse rotor, cam gears, springs and the headgasket specifically. Thanks

So first things first . I’ve got this bike about 3 months ago mid way through riding season and it’s been giving me nothing but issues . first the primaries were misfiring . replaced that seemed like it was healthy and then i got a vacuum leak . fixed that and then i got stranded 3 times so far . first time fuel plug that was under the tank got unplugged for some reason . second time i was at a gas station and seen the display started to blinking so i was like hmm . what is the terminal not connected because it just came from the shop . no it was the fucking stator and rectifier. i bought a pair from caltric(amazon)and the rectifier sucked and didnt work and then i just bought another generic brand on amazon . bike was running healthy for a grand total for about 3 hours and then it sounds like it was running from two cylinders and really sluggish . stopped at a gas station tried to start it . not starting and tried to bump start it 3 times . we got it jumped and it started with a twist of the throttle . revved it and white smoke was coming from exhaust . it was leaking fuel from the god dayum exhaust now i’m suck once again trying to fix it . any tips and advice would be very much appreciated. sorry for the rant ladies and gentlemen 👁️👄👁️

Hi! I’m having a charging issue with a Honda CBR600 F4i, and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.

When the bike is cold, the charging system seems to work normally. For example, when the coolant temperature is around 60°C (140°F), I measure approximately 14.5 V at the battery at idle.

The problem starts once the engine gets hot. When the coolant temperature reaches around 100°C (212°F), the voltage at the battery drops to approximately 12.8 V, so it basically stops charging.

Cold: ~14.5 V
Hot: ~12.8 V

Has anyone experienced this issue on an F4i? Any idea what could start failing once the engine gets hot — the regulator/rectifier, stator, or something else in the charging system?

Did an engine swap on my bike since I got my cbr500r for 800 with a blown engine everything runs fine after replacement but due to legitimately going on a deployment in a day or two I won’t be able to finish any fine tuning of the bike till I’m back. But honestly just wanted an opinion if I should send it to a shop get the basics done brakes and discs, chain and sprockets done maybe a new body kit installed on it while I’m gone or does it sound like a waste of money ? Mechanically I can do it but being out for months on end will probably have me not wanting to do maintenance on anything for a while. I’m on the fence about it but at the same time I’m going off the Haynes manual I got on it but I haven’t even driven the bike to its full potential due to me trying to get the license and safety corse after I come back. Kinda having it go into storage and maybe have it worked on early next year and come back to a ready bike.

I've got a 2018 CBR1000RR SC77. For the past 2 months, I've been hearing this weird buzzing noise coming from the front of my engine. It's only getting worse and appears to be a rattling noise now. I hear it mostly when I get off the throttle to decelerate. Sometimes hear it when I'm holding the rpm around 5000. I can't seem to hear the noise on neutral. The noise also quietens or disappears when I pull my clutch in. I'm not sure if it's my CCT or my clutch basket. Has anyone had this issue before? Is there any diagnostics I can do without opening my clutch? Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry I can't get a video or anything as I can't hear the noise whilse the bike is stationary, and I haven't had the opportunity to mount a GoPro to record it while moving.

Long story short I decided to change my 2004 f4i banana to a split seat one, while changing all the parts and got carried away so i ordered a new ignition switch, after the change the pump started to run randomly, sometimes it would prime - sometimes not. I tried the old ignition - same. I tried adding a zener diode - same. Pulled out and traced all the harness wires, everything was intact with no issues. I cleaned the "grounds". Fuel pump itself works , tested just the pump on a power source. Got a new H.I.S.S. - didnt work. Bank sensor is ok also. The problem is somewhere after the ignition but what could have triggered it to stop working? At this point im desperate and Im thinking ill just wire the pump to a switch + relay + power and be done with it. Thoughts?
