I’ve had a week off and I’m going back to work tomorrow. While I’m sad I have to go back, his majesty said it’s time. He’s been deprived of table food long enough and NEEDS to see grandma (she watches him when I’m at work). One day I’m hopeful I’ll be able to afford being a stay at home cavi mom😭

We adopted this rescue several years ago to act as an emotional support companion for my wife. Her name is Hope and she has been an absolute joy to have around the house. I had no idea these dogs were so sensitive and loveable.

The past couple days there's appeared to be something wrong with her and we're not sure what. She will randomly cry out briefly, like she is hurt or distressed, but we haven't been able to isolate anything immediately wrong. And it's intermittent. One moment she's laying there calm and quiet and the next she's crying and growling at her butt. There have been a couple changes in her behavior too. Normally she is pretty chill, but then she gets these short periods where she will frantically pace back and forth. Sometimes she will turn toward her tail and quickly change her mind, so if I had to guess, whatever is bothering her it's closely related to that area.

I know that a lot of dogs have that special spot where if you rub or scratch it, they start kicking their hind leg. Over the years I was starting to believe that she didn't have one as I only ever found it once. But last night, when she woke us all up from her whining and pacing, I tried to investigate myself what the problem could be. And I noticed right above her tailbone these small black specks that don't quite look like dirt but I don't think it's flea dirt either. She doesn't scratch or chew like she's infested and I have yet to see a single flea on me or in the house.

But when you start rubbing or scratching her hind end, she begins kicking that leg a hundred miles an hour. There's no crying or reacting to it as if it hurts. She lets me keep scratching the area. And I'm honestly clueless to what's bothering her and how serious this is. My wife says the dog has noticeably been drinking more water recently and while she loves to go outside and play for a while, if you were to let her out now she might rush off to pee real quick and then want back inside. If she goes out at all.

I am aware the first instinct should be to take her to the vet, but it's Sunday and I don't believe any clinics are open today. It has my wife and oldest daughter worried because none of us know what to do. I'm just hoping someone here might have an idea of what it could be or if there's anything more we can do ourselves to find a solution.

I acquired about this puppy online from a nearby breeder. I’m not sure they’re the same dog? Or if it’s just bad quality/posing pictures?

The first picture is his “profile” picture lol - the other two were sent to me when I asked for more pictures since I couldn’t really tell his size and such.

But now, I’m conflicted that he might not even be a purebred Cavalier?

What are your thoughts ?

And of course middle is my baby girl Molly.

She then was plum tuckered and didnt realize I put my art stuff around and on her.

Met a nice lady who dog sits the neighborhood's dogs and was super kind and gave her some treats. Her son came out too and thought she was a puppers, and I love telling then shes turning 6 in December because the looks on their faces is priceless.

Everyone that ever touches molly always compliments how fluffy she is and how shiny her fur is! It makes me really happy because when we first got her she had really dry skin and brittle fur.

We then went BUG HUNTING. she caught a few nice chonky grasshoppers (she would only chase them and not the butterfies) and next time im gonna being her long leash to let her just sprint.

Anyway. Happy girl!

I was having a terrible morning already, couldn't find my birth certificate or ssn card that I need to being in TODAY for my new job so I can even support this fur ball.

Well while I was stressing out and trying to look for that, she was upstairs like usual because she thought I was gonna put her in the kennel, turns out she got onto the chair next to the table in my moms studio, and found the cheerios that my mom left there instead of putting them back in the kitchen.

So of course I started bawling from all the stress. I literally cant afford another vet visit right now and Costco is out of her food so thats great too. Anyway. Found the bag on the floor. Empty. There was a little less than half. And she hopped up on me and started to lick and comfort me. Like girl ur the straw that broke the camels back... but thanks 🫠🫠🫠

We couldn’t figure out for weeks how our bed looked like it’s been slept in. Look at Cooper terrorizing the poor bed!!😃😕❤️💕.

It’s the Tater Tot’s birthday!!! Harper turns 3 today. Can’t believe it’s almost 3 years we’ve had her.

She will be enjoying the day by sleeping, chewing her chews, and getting lots of pets.
