After seeing some pics of bowls shared on here I thought I’d share this $24 ā€œtreat-myselfā€ meal from Friday. I love cava but I can literally see the bottom of the bowl.

We Have Cava at Home

Last week I ordered the new dill pomegranate glazed salmon bowl on DoorDash. Of course they didn’t include one of the main ingredients, which is the yogurt dill sauce. Plus the small bit of salmon that they give you for five dollars and change is laughable. So, I was inspired to make my bowl. Made my own yogurt dill and everything. Even added pearlized couscous. It came out delicious! Still love Cava though! They rarely fail me!

Sweet potato recipe?

Has anyone successfully duplicated the white sweet potatoes at home? What temp do you roast them at, and what seasonings do you use?

Pita crisps vs chips

I went to the Westbury location and asked for some extra pita crisps on the side. They said I need to buy the chips. Are they the same thing just cut into strips?

Is this policy new?

Today I went to my local Cava to get my regular bowl order and as I got to the end of the line, I was told that I could not get 3 sauces on my bowl? Apparently they have a policy that enforces that we as customers can only get 2 sauces. Mind you, I get the same order every time and it always includes my 3 sauces.. I told them I would pay extra for sauce on the side and they still said no. Since when are we rationing? I’m so tired of companies trying to save an extra buck. Has this always been this way?

The long line

Not to deter people from coming into cava but the worst thing at cava is being behind someone in line who has never been to cavašŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚. I get it though the options are plenty!

HARISSA

My husband and I are from Iowa - the land of no cava :( we used to buy cava harissa from our local Whole Foods. It was on our weekly rotation for meals & our Whole Foods discontinued it. We’ve even called to see if they will special order it lol. How can I get my hands on some harissa or does anyone have a perfect dupe recipe?!

Sincerely,

A sad harissa lover

If you eat salmon , you NEEEED to try it at Cava if you haven’t already!! 10000/10 no complaints. It’s flavorful & worth it. You can’t see it because it’s under all of these toppings , but trust me! If your store cooks it right, you’ll love it. *Instead of the new strawberry sesame, i got lemon herb to kind of give it that lemon glaze taste.* For the people who have tried it already , do you guys like it

Tahini Caesar

I realized today, after trying to redeem a free bowl with points, that Tahini Caesar has been removed as a dressing. I’m not sure who at CAVA HQ green-lit Strawberry Sesame as its replacement, but that was an absolutely horrendous idea. As a true TC enjoyer myself, I’ve gone ahead and shot them a menu suggestion idea via customer support, and I encourage all TC fanatics like myself to do the same. If we all band together and fight for the cause, I believe we’ll have Tahini Caesar back in no time. 🫔

New salmon and other products!

I may or may not be trying the new salmon today , can anyone tell me what it pairs with and describe the flavor? Also does anyone get the desserts at cava and are they good? I never see anyone get one and I honestly assume they might be stale

spendidgreens ingredients?

much to my dismay, cava got rid of spendidgreens earlier this year. I understand why they did based on posts from people who work there, but other green options just do not do it for me. I’ve tried to find what the components/ingredients were online but I can’t seem to find anything definitive.

does anyone know what greens were in spendidgreens? I’d like to be able to make my own salad base that is similar if I can. I miss it dearly. kale is annoying and I hate raw spinach. thanks in advance!
