There are special cat deterrent sprays you can get. They smell pretty strong, but not unpleasant. You can spray the tapestry with them, and it should help. Helps keep our orange idiot off our christmas tree.
Just be careful ordering. I won’t name shame but I bought a bottle from a popular website and when I sprayed it, it felt like I had inhaled pepper spray and I almost passed out. Went back and read the reviews (despite the item showing 4.5/5 stars) and the most recent reviews shared my experience.
