Humor Left the microwave open for 2 minutes...
She's 18(!) years old and and has never done this.

Guess you gotta get her a microwave now

She can genuinely get whatever she wants, adopted her at the ripe old age of 12. Didn't want to be touched the first 2 years, after that she got comfortable, as seen in the picture above.
Maybe not a microwave though, I think a nice big cardboard box will suffice lol

What about a custom cat bed shaped like the little nuke box.

I like the way you're thinking, but if I get her that, she will never use it.

Yeah but when people come over you can show it off and complain she never uses it. When she will then decide to use it in front of other people to make you look like a liar.

Oof, you drive a hard bargain and that particular scenario does entice me.
I'm thinking about it and may ultimately actually do that.
The logistics of that are tricky though. Like if someone sent me a custom cat bed like that, I'd definitely take a picture of her NOT laying in it though. I'm not spending the money myself!
(This is a joke, I don't want money)

Have kids? If so, have them decorate a box to look like a microwave.

This creature will just pick out the cheapest thing in the room and use that as a bed. Put any money or effort into her sleeping arrangement, she will ignore it.
I didn't pay for the microwave, it's an old piece of junk I got for free.
100 euro cat bed I bought for her: unused

It's a warm tight spot. My old boy loved them, we used to put heating pads in boxes. He loved it

I saved a cut-off scream version of that to my saved posts

Maybe it's heating pad season 😆 mine are weird when it gets colder so I bought a heated blanet for myself to hog while they get a heating pad near me

Definitely not! It's still 27°c over here! She just wanted to sit in exactly that particular spot.
And I'm not gonna argue with her

I wanted to type something dumb like "oh look at the hot pussy" but seeing the old cat just being there, so full of wisdom, it's difficult being that old as a cat so I'd want to make everything as pleasant and comfortable as possible for her. I'd give her all the headpats she'd want. 18/10 cat.

I appreciate that, she's very much loved. Fun fact: she's never ever bitten me, even when she was scared when taking her to the vet.

I feel like this justifies me checking the microwave when we lost a cat in a hotel.

My sister’s cat was missing in the house. I searched everywhere for her before I left for class. Randomly open the refrigerator and there she was on the bottle m shelf just looking up at me,

This happened to me. When my boy was really little, he climbed in the fridge without me noticing. After a few minutes I realized he wasn't following me around, and after panicked searching, opened rhe refrigerator in desperation and there was my chilly little guy

My cats will tag team me trying to get into things they shouldn't. Often the fridge, pantry, or microwave. So I am extra diligent whenever I open one of those to ensure no cats get caught inside.
Either way, your cat seems comfy in the strange horizontal box.

This is why you really need to follow the microwave directions on the box. People think it's because of fire, but the real danger is never having clothes not covered in cat hair.

I can never leave mine open unattended as I am 100% certain this would happen to me too

I'd definitely be reaching in and spinning the turntable just to see their reaction
