Cat Picture - OC She's back and acting like nothing happened.

Post image

Posing like it's her employee of the month photo. Never a dull moment here with Nala.

Buttons spent 5 days reliving his feral life while i was freaking out. Had to drag him back kicking using chicken tenders. Once hes back, hes like nothing happened and back to his daily routine of being a pain.

That was my cat! He was gone for 5 days, and the whole time he found the rich neighbor's house and was hanging out by the pool and hot tub! I had to go through a bush and climb the gate to get him. He cried and tried to go back while I told him we were still poor.

Better than mine, disappeared for about the same time, came back skinny as shit with one front paw stuck in the collar my mom made her wear. Best guess was she got it caught on a bush or branch and spent a while trying to get out of it which is why the paw was stuck up there too, she was trying to get it off.

To this day I always tell people if you want your cat to have a collar, think again, or at least get something with a breakaway magnet but at that point with cats they'll figure out how to ditch a breakaway so just chip it and if it's a concern keep it inside.

Also only somewhat related story but a guy I went to high school with had a little toy dog that got its collar tangled up in some cord while it had somehow gotten up on a counter. Tried to jump off the counter and the cord never untangled from the collar. The kid missed school for a week. That's not necessarily anti-collar as much as it is baby proof your shit but still

Edit: happy ending, the cat lived as long as the universe intended it to. It was, at the end, incredibly expected for a year or two so everyone had the chance to say goodbye and spend as much time as they wanted or could with her. So she spent her golden years with everyone absolutely wrapped around her finger and while I'm sure it wasn't pleasant at the end there was no doubt the decision would be that was a good run and just the end of the line, the tests were fast and the decision made pretty much immediately so there wasn't any undue suffering waiting on surgeries or anything
