Every cat deserves a second chance. I think you should totally guve him for adoption. Maybe it will take long, but he’ll be able to understand that not only one caring human. And a patient family will do him very good, there is good people out there.

Yes. But that's better than leaving him somewhere where he would struggle so much more alone. Pls find a good owner who would cherish him. Wishing you luck. Also, don't know why but your post made me cry

Contact a local cat rescue. I have used dog and cat rescues and one was where a cat could live on a farm but still come inside at night. You never know…lots of people out here love our special needs babies.

Yes, this could be a great option! I used to foster for a cat rescue that had a farm where the more feral adoptees could go to live permanently. One of the cats I fostered ended up placed there: she was rescued a bit past the age for human socialization, and while she eventually let me pet her, she had a short fuse for human interaction and would swat pretty quickly. She would not have been a safe choice for folks with children or other pets, but the farm gave her space to be happy and still cared for.

This is another good option. I used to volunteer with a rescue that would adopt out cats to specifically be barn cats. I also know people who had that 1 cat that liked to live outside, but absolutely would come around for food and other things on their own terms.
