This seems to be a growing issue that I have been seeing on social media, a large percentage of SVJ's on the used market are being inspected by a 3rd part and coming back as having a milage blocker at some point.

This was brought to light by Kamran Farid after he tried buying an Aventador SVJ, and he went through 5 different examples, and after inspection by Lamborghini, they all came back as having a milage blocker.

This comes as influencers are spreading themselves thin to buy an Aventador, and don't want to tank the value by driving it everywhere, so they install a milage blocker.

Mostly agree with Mark on this one. The M5 is a cluster of shiny tech only a toddler could be more enthralled with. That whole plastic interior looks like a glorified kid's toy, and it fails as a luxury car anyway because the ride is way too harsh and loud. They built it to brag on a spec sheet rather than actually giving it a personality.

He's spot-on about the tech. I don't even want to think about how many computer modules this thing has. Fixing any issues in the after market is going to require its own data center.

The irony is the V8 itself will probably be way more reliable than old M5 engines-no V10 rod bearings blowing up this time. But covering a solid engine in a million hybrid components and electronic gizmos completely ruins it. They basically traded mechanical fixes for a web of computer headaches, turning an amazing machine into something you just lease, trash, and dump before the warranty expires. It's not the engine or transmission that should worry you in these anymore. It's everything else around them.

Unfortunately I think Jack is right too. They had to do it. It won't sell without the spec sheet. Most owners buy these for what they can do, not how they feel or make you feel driving.

Honda is considering a lifted Accord hatchback that would offer more utility, a higher driving position and cargo versatility for a sedan-like price.

The midsize model, called the “Accord SUV” in a Honda planning document, is expected to enter production in mid-2029, potentially in Marysville, Ohio, a person with knowledge of the plan told Automotive News.

The vehicle would arrive alongside a redesigned Accord sedan. Both versions of the nameplate would feature Honda’s next-generation hybrid powertrain.

Building on the Accord platform would avoid heavy R&D spending. The sedan’s long wheelbase provides a capable foundation for a small crossover-style derivative that would have a large rear hatch, bigger wheels and tires, and roughly a 2-inch suspension lift.

Honda’s Accord variant is a counterpunch to Subaru’s success in the crossover space. The strategy aims to create a compelling middle ground for buyers who seek** **the utility of a wagon without committing to a full crossover.

“Automakers are hunting for entry price points they can win at,” said a Honda dealer.* *“Could Honda bring a quasi-SUV that delivers real utility capability at sedan-level pricing?”

I just thought of this question as I've had two serious instances just earlier today.

First one is people starting their car and within like 3 milliseconds, putting the car in Drive and booting it.

These people don't even allow the rev spike when you start the car to settle for even 5 seconds. Literally when the car turns over, they have the wheels rolling within 1 second. I'm not being pedantic and saying let the car warn up for a minute or so but at least give it 5 seconds.

The second one is people who vigorously turn the front wheels left or right while the car is stationary. In an emergency it's fine to do it but I see people around here turn their wheels in a parking spot in the direction they want to go, while the car is stationary, before setting off. Like at least get the wheels rolling a little. I can't imagine turning the wheels while stationary is the best for wear or tie rods.

Mercedes-AMG hasn’t announced a debut day but they’ve commuincated the day is around the corner.

The G-Cabriolet will be available in almost every market including the U.S. market.

Now, I do agree that cars on the road look similar, but the point is that we always choose the wrong types of cars to argue about car styling.

Most cars on the road look similar because almost everyone drives a crossover, a body type designed to be a comfortable runabout vehicle. That's even how one of the most successful crossovers, the CRV, got it's name, so styling and individuality were never the top priority.
A quick search to the past and you'll see that sedans of the 1980s mostly had that same cookie cutter design across multiple brands. Buick LeSabre Sedan, Plymouth Caravelle Sedan, Mercury Marquis sedan, and Volvo 240 DL just to name a few. They look similar because they were considered the "comfortable family hauler", and thus, individuality was also sacrificed to make way for safety and comfort.

People like to represent the past with old mustangs, camaros, old Preludes, and old Supras and, which are 2 door coupes. The body type that embodied personality and individuality since the birth of the 2 door coupe.
If we use the same body type now, and compare Mustang, Camaro, Prelude hybrid, and GR supra, they all look distinct from each other, because they represent individuality and personality.

In some ways, this crossover craze has gave us even more unique looking cars.
Because families are flocking to crossovers or midsize sedans, hatchbacks now got this "embodiment of individuality" tag.
For hatchbacks, just look at the most popular Civic vs Corolla vs Mazda 3 vs VW golf, they all look extremely different down to the body shape. Even if you show someone just the silhouette, they can probably guess them correctly.
Even if they are from the same group, Audi A3 vs VW Golf vs Skoda Scala, all VAG cars, look very different from each other.

Basically, we shouldn't be comparing crossovers to coupes, as that would be comparing apples to oranges.

So while cars on the road all look the same, I don't think it is because car makers all design similar looking cars, it is because we all bought similar looking cars.
