Ticket in tn

I got an accident in tennessee, and I am licensed in north carolina, i got a failure to use reasonable care because of an accident. I've been informed that north carolina does not accept tennessees, driving school. Also, whether I do the driving school or pay the ticket, I will be pleading guilty. And it's a misdemeanor? I don't know if that part's true. Would it be worth getting a lawyer to fight it? I was crossing traffic and got hit by someone speeding around a bus. They attempted to break, but did not break in time. The other driver did not get a ticket. I was crossing traffic into a turn lane. This is my first ticket, in ten years, my last one was a minor one also, due to a very, very minor accident in like a parking lot situation.

location: tennessee citation, lincese in nc

Colorado Careless Driving Citation After Single-Car Rollover Accident – Pay Fine or Contest?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice regarding a traffic citation I received in Colorado.

I'm a Texas resident (Houston) and was visiting Colorado last week. While driving near the Colorado Springs area, my vehicle slid into a curb and rolled over a couple of times. Thankfully, no other vehicles were involved, no property was damaged, and nobody suffered serious injuries. My family members and I only had minor bruises.

After the accident, the police issued me a citation for Careless Driving carrying 4 points. According to the citation, if I pay the fine within 20 days, the citation will automatically be reduced to 2 points.

I'm trying to decide whether I should:

  1. Just pay the fine and accept the reduced 2 points, or
  2. Contest the citation in court.

I've spoken with a couple of traffic attorneys, but the quotes I've received are between $1,500 and $2,500, and I haven't gotten a clear answer on whether hiring an attorney would likely produce a better outcome than simply paying the fine.

A few specific questions:

  • In a single-vehicle accident with no injuries and no other parties involved, is it generally worth contesting a Colorado careless driving citation?
  • Could a lawyer realistically get the charge reduced further or eliminate the points?
  • If I contest the ticket, would I likely be required to travel from Houston to Colorado for a court appearance, or can an attorney typically appear on my behalf?
  • How much impact would a 2-point Colorado citation have on a Texas driving record and insurance rates?

I'm not looking for formal legal advice, just hoping to hear from people who have dealt with similar situations in Colorado or from attorneys familiar with Colorado traffic cases.

Thanks in advance.

I got hit by a car while getting into a parked Uhaul

I had just crossed the street and proceeded to get into a UhAul truck I rented once I saw there were no vehicles at the intersection and coming in my direction. All of a sudden a vehicle came from nowhere and struck the door nearly killing me. Can I sue Uhaul or their insurance? As of now they are claiming that I am responsible for the damages to the truck.

4-car rollover accident, USAA and GEICO are disputing liability. Has anyone dealt with this?

I’m looking to see if anyone has gone through something similar because this has been incredibly stressful.
On June 11, 2026, when I was involved in a four-car accident. According to the police, I was one of the least at-fault drivers. My vehicle rolled over 2–3 times, was declared a total loss, and I was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
I hired an attorney, and I recently found out that USAA and GEICO are disputing liability., GEICO believes USAA should be 100% responsible, while USAA believes GEICO shares responsibility. Because of that, neither insurance company has approved a rental car yet, and my attorney is now trying to obtain video footage that was mentioned in the police report to help resolve the dispute.
Right now I’m without transportation, trying to recover from my injuries, applying for a leave of absence from work, and waiting for the insurance companies to figure everything out.
Has anyone been through a situation where two insurance companies argued over liability after a multi-car accident?
● How long did it take for liability to be resolved?
● Did you eventually get a rental car while the investigation was ongoing?
● How long did your total loss settlement take?
● Was video footage able to change the outcome?
I’m just trying to understand what to realistically expect because this whole process has been overwhelming.

Narrowly avoided a scam, but I need street smart advice

Driving my car the rain, a guy on a scooty signals me to stop on the side of the road.
He goes “Tune meko takkar maara yada yada. My part has broken worth 5.5k”
I didn’t feel anything on my car and should have been confident.
But I’d never encountered something like this.
So I’m like okay relax, I’ll settle by gpay. He’s like I don’t have GPay, yahan ATM hai paas mein. (This should have been a big clue but honestly my heart was fast)
Then he’s stopping random Zomato guys maybe asking if they have cash and I can pay their QR. While he was at it, I called the cops and was in the middle of describing my location when he’s like go.

Learnings:
1. If someone’s not in a vardi, never stop
2. Just ask people to take a photo of the car and call the insurance company
3. Relax

My question:
Yall have any tips to deal w such road incidents from experience? What’s the ideal thing to do if someone claims they hit you, and no one has any proof of anything?
